New FBA capacity limits coming to Mexico, Brazil, and Australia

Hello,

On October 1, 2025, we’ll replace quarterly Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) storage limits with monthly capacity limits in Mexico, Brazil, and Australia, in alignment with capacity limits that are already in place in the US, EU, UK, Japan, and Canada.

These limits help us manage unexpected surges in demand and supply chain disruptions so that we can run our fulfillment network efficiently and get your products to customers faster. These changes shouldn’t affect the majority of sellers who manage their inventory efficiently.

Key updates include the following:

  • Monthly capacity limits replace quarterly storage limits. This more frequent update will reflect your latest performance and allow for better inventory planning and management each month. These limits determine how much inventory you can send to and store at our fulfillment network. We’ll announce limits during the fourth week of each month via the Capacity Monitor and email.
  • We’ll display three months’ worth of capacity limits. We’ll show your confirmed limits for the upcoming month and estimated limits for the following two months. Estimates may vary based on how efficiently you’re using capacity, as measured by your IPI score, and the available space and labor that we have to support you.
  • Capacity limits will be tailored to your business needs. Your capacity limits will now be set based on your IPI score, historical sales, seasonal sales trends, sales forecasts for your products, new selection you’ve added, your upcoming deals or promotions, shipment lead times, and our fulfillment center capacity.
  • Capacity limits will be measured in volume, not units, to better reflect your capacity usage. We know that many sellers prefer to plan in units, so we’ll continue to show inventory usage in units and provide an estimate of how many units your capacity limits permit. Similar to storage limits today, capacity limits will consider inventory on-hand in Amazon’s fulfillment centers and shipments that you’ve created that have not yet arrived.

To view your capacity limits that will take effect on October 1, 2025, as well as your estimated limits for November, go to Capacity Monitor.
