If you haven’t played with the New Seller Central, be warned that it is coming and probably soon. New banner up on Seller Central promoting it now. Amazon’s wording “You’ll begin using a redesigned experience” … but falls short of saying when exactly.
If you want to take a quick look and return back to the current Seller Central, just use the toggle in the upper right …
And also fails to discuss how much havoc it will create. Amazon may be the champion of offering ‘new and improved’ features that are actually a worse and more cumbersome design.
They must go out of their way to hire programmers and layout designers that have NEVER sold anything in their entire lives.
One of the old time (now deceased) disc jockeys on WTMJ in Milwaukee would use the word BOHICA on the air since it would get past the censors.
This may or may not be true but I did read that newer sellers will be forced into it, while older sellers can toggle back to old. The verbiage did not say you can only toggle back for “X” amount of time but I’m sure there will be a limit.
The toggling back is not done on the home page. It’s an account setting somewhere so that’s encouraging for it being around for a bit…
The user interface is not the problem. The problem is that you can search for something, and find the description of it, and how to use it in the “documentation” sidebar, but nowhere is a link to that report, or menu item that actually TAKES YOU THERE.
I don’t have the toggle in one of my pcs. And when I asked the stupid clippy that Amazon now has it said “sucks to suck, dumbass. You’re stuck with the new version. But if you need to find something ask me”
I ask it, it couldn’t find the reports page. Then I saw that there’s a stupid link in the home page but no longer a menu to reach reports
Switching from or opting out of the new Seller Central
Only the primary seller account can change the default selling experience and opt out. To switch your default experience back to classic Seller Central, follow these steps:
Go to the top right corner of any new Seller Central page.
Click the three vertical dots next to the Help icon.
Select Default selling experience and choose Seller Central.
Confirm the change when prompted.
To return to the new Seller Central, scroll to the top of any Seller Central page and click the New Seller Central toggle.
I did. It sadly didn’t work.
In the end we will have to get used to the new version. I do find it extremely childish and loud. Way too loud. Why so many freaking colors and such overload of information (most of it useless)
That is the old way. Your seller central hasn’t been pushed to the newer vision old seller central. Now, it is just a toggle as seen in the image we posted above. The toggle is on both the old seller central and the new (formally called nex gen) seller central. We no longer have the drop down selection that you currently have.
It seems like they split reports up to match a function. As you click on the tabs and they open, reports involving that subject will have a link in the upper right of the tab area open.
Every change (with one sole exception, which was really just backing out a change) has reinforced my thought that Amazon programmers are paid by the number of mouse-clicks they generate.
The worst was a few years back, where creating an FBA shipment (for my normal workflow) went from 7 clicks and one keystroke, to a combined total of around 140. But all of the changes seem to add more steps. It’s the epitome of bad design.
I’ve unfortunately been expecting that eventually we’d all be forced into this ever since “Seller Experience Lab” was first rolled out back in Q3 of 2024 (081824), as alluded in this 022025 SAS post; publication of the 060226 News Headline “The new Seller Central experience is here” @ https: //sellercentral.amazon.com/seller-news/articles/QVRWUERLSUtYMERFUiNHOTRBNENMTkFFWFZDVUcz convinced me that the day was likely looming large for when the switcher would be deprecated.
Perhaps because I am not a sophomoric, game-playing Dev with no practical experience in the real world, I am not a fan.
May I ask if navigating to the default Seller Central login page @ https: //sellercentral.amazon.com/home, on the recalcitrant `puter, also leads only to the newer Dashboard?
