NSFE - Amazon Seller Forums linking old profile to new profiles

It is, but that isn’t intentional, I believe lazy coders just never did anything to alter the page titles

I am not, but it looks like others were. :eyes:

It looks like everyone’s account metrics were reset recently?
I haven’t onboarded so I can’t see anything.

I’m not sure where I fall on this.

Everyone, or everyone that does any kind of web page design, knows that pages need titles. That makes it hard to imagine that they were that ignorant of adding them in. Maybe to lazy though … lol. Who knows?

Amazon hired people who have never been on a forum to build a forum.

Just sayin

Maybe it’s due to it being embedded within seller central where all pages have Amazon as the title. Changes may be needed to the core seller central system to allow the forum to change the page title.

They hired people who have never sold anything to build their commerce platform.
They hired people who don’t know how Amazon works to act as experts on how Amazon works.

Looks like the stats are back

Literally just now!

What amazes me is that the stats have been gone since Saturday, and a handful of sellers also posted inquiring about it, but yet zero response or announcement from Amz. The Mods are worse and lazier than ever; now they have full control, and no one is around to challenge them.

That’s just it, I don’t believe they have any control over the software at all

I have a brief look at the NSFE every few days.

Seems like mission accomplished, no one’s feelings are hurt.

When it comes to software, I completely agree…

Not exactly, Amazon recently dropped support for Facebook’s (now Meta) OpenGraph
example:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003KR23PU

In the past it would have shown an image of the product with Title and description.

But now displays

and changed the forum URL with just a 301 wildcard redirect. Without a valid index for the forum Google lost everything. If I had to guess it would be a decision made specifically to increase Amazon’s ad division. Amazon doesn’t make nearly as much :moneybag: when someone uses Facebook or Google ads. So, this is a way to nudge advertisers to spend with Amazon as they re-evaluate digital ad spend post COVID/Musk/Meta.

I don’t know about this, but I agree it was a :moneybag: issue
