Can confirm, still not borg’d. Interesting that if I visit NSFE while logged in to my selling account, I can see user handles, and not anonymized strings (which is what I see when visit as a public non-logged-in user), but obviously only for the topics showing up behind the pop up.
Careful … that might onboard you.
The email is just connecting dots. Your login has not been seen on NSFE therefore we need to send you an email to try to get you to come back.
But then I dug further, and I have no other emails like this in the last year.
Perhaps when I do accidentally (or intentionally, like just now) visit the NSFE home page while logged in to my selling account, it triggers a CRM sequence?
Second, I don’t think it triggers anything. I read the NSFE only in incognito mode, but occasionally I accidently middle-click the post link from the dashboard instead of right-click, and it always says “Welcome lets get you set up” each time. Done it multiple times, and I just close the tab, but never got an email asking to come back or anything else.
I onboarded with a new name and did not link my old profile so I could read and know who was posting. I have never posted and will never post and have not gotten the email or any other forum related emails since then. I have not been outed in any way as far as I know.
I get it, and I don’t have much to hide as I was never confrontational on the OSFE or anywhere else for that matter. My competitors are usually not cutthroat so I figured I would take the chance. I think the likelihood that something will go wrong is small in this case. Also, if for some reason my account got messed up like our friend @Tried_Tested I may have no choice but to post there since there is no other support except maybe on Twitter (X).
Your situation is totally unbelievable and scares the crap out of me. I am convinced if something like this happens to us we’ll go straight to legal. I hope you get this resolved soon!
Unfortunately for some of us, there have been attackers without clear reasons, both of businesses and people, individually and personally. Well, sometimes the reason is that we might seem friendly with other users they already disliked and didn’t “take their side,” IDK…a lot of unneeded drama.
ALL PRESENT COMPANY EXCLUDED, the psych in me finds the number of Sellers with true clinically sociopathic tendencies* interesting. Entrepreneurs often don’t play well with literally any others, unless those others play exactly their game with their rule #1 being that they always win.
*All character/personality traits exist on a continuum, of hardly present to very present.
Given the level of competency often exhibited by Amazon, I’m waiting for them to send me an email asking where I have been.
I really miss the old days when I could actually look at my stats and see how many hours and days/months that I have spent/wasted on the various versions.
Sometime before the changeover I had done a screen grab of the amount of time but since I am so well organized I have no idea where it might be…
