NSFE: "looking for supplier"

Hello SellersAskSellers, this NSFE user (and apparent Amazon newbie) seems to be asking for recommendations on authorized reseller suppliers who will recognize their Amazon business for the purposes of registering a wholesale (tax free, reduced price) account and provide them with permission to resell the products they distribute for brands on Amazon.

 How would you respond to OP?

I would tell them not to quit their day job.

Getting started on Amazon as a reseller today is IMPOSSIBLE if you do not already have established relationships. Nobody wants to deal with a newbie reseller.

There are some companies who will sell to anybody and authorize anybody to sell on Amazon, or whatever other platform they want, but there’s absolutely zero profit in those products because the race to the bottom bottomed out a long time ago. Valid business strategy for the brand owner (sell to whoever, and let the retailers fight it out how they want, and don’t need to deal with any of the headaches of enforcement), but terrible to resell those brands.

As did saturation, so that zero profit is only if you even make a sale. Otherwise, you actually lost money.

Yeah, there’s actually people on those ASINs selling at a loss because they need to unload their inventory.

I could helph (sic) them but regardless of how hard I have looked for who’s (whosale)(sic) over the years, I can never find them.

Just because you have an account to sell on Amazon does not authorize to have tax free purchases. There are many more steps the op will need to take

Yep. Go to a bin store to see what not to sell.
