I want it noted that I find this post disgusting, thoughtless, factually wrong and just typical…
NSFE: [New Seller Community] The Real MVPs: Saluting our Seasoned Contributors - January Juggernauts
Well, you’re not a cheerleader, you’re an adult.
So…
I guess it’s continuing the “March Madness” theme?
For the record, I don’t think Danny_Amazon means to sound anything other than truly grateful to the brave and knowledgeable not-new Sellers still giving air to the NSFE.
Unfortunately because there are “no PMs,” he can’t simply send a nice note; it has to be a Whole Thing now.
yeah, but how hard is it to count? 16 posts that I responded to in January? On what planet? And Neverlast, among others, not even mentioned. This post is nothing but offensive…
I agree that it’s offensive. I just doubt it was intended to be, but also NSFE doesn’t ever police themselves for tone or reading the room.
Personally, I don’t think number of posts should ever be the measure of anyone’s helpfulness. What you and @dwat0870 @wadeorcas @Lost_My_Marbles @bookwormapril @Brigitte @RiverRetail @sundance @oneida_books and so many more provide is not mere contributions to post counts but meaningful content based on knowledge and experience.
IDC if you only post once or twice a month, if you drop actual gold nuggets of useful information, you know?
And @Nutty_Nuisance you sure do
Just a thought …
You could probably get on their “MVP list” by going to chat GPT and typing “Write a response to this post:”, pasting the post, then just copying and pasting whatever it gives you as a response, and do that for every single discussion posted there.
Maybe you can even write a program to do this thru the GPT API and do it automatically.
So this post is thanking the few not New Sellers they’ve let post in the locked down New Seller portion of the forum?
Oh the help that could exist if the abomination wasn’t made in the first place. It’d be a lot more difficult to count how many helpful posts there were.
Thanks for the note on there by the way!
I’m certainly not a defender of Amazon but I would have to count how many posts I have made on the New Seller side in that time frame.
I’m guessing it’s not many because so many of the questions just make me want to scream and post totally inappropriate things that would get me booted (possibly permanently) from the Forum.
Come to think of it, that WOULD free up a lot of my time…
For my part I don’t post a lot … and certainly not in the New Seller Community where this thread is and relates to.
Think of it as a little league team. Only clueless kids are allowed to play, and you have a couple coaches for the team.
I try to not voice an opinion on things I don’t feel sure about…or will add that I am unsure. There is a ton of stuff I know nothing about, like FBA, as I walked away from it years ago. And seller support, as I have contacted them once in the last 2 years…
OMG what a programed love fest. Now I personally, with others think a love fest is fine. However, organically not pre programed.
I would like to inform you at this time that I will be taking this out of context, deliberately, often, and with intent to humor myself.
I assume Katie’s cookbook on how to build a seller community has this in the section on desperation moves.
If the numbers do not look like what will help her review, it is time to open the cookbook for old recipes.
More likely to have the bots write her a new cookbook. Rinse and repeat.
For this you need to retreat to your safe space.
Funny thing, “All I ever needed to know I learned in kindergarten.”
… but we don’t want to sit in the corner again …
Heck, I never minded that.
We had to squat, something I just can’t do (although it seems everyone else can) and I hated it!
