This highlights just how important the social commerce industry is to the ecommerce industry–even if individual Sellers weight its utility differently, and even if Amazon low-balled their last-minute bid.
LOL probably currently, yes. But that puts TikTok into the (questionable) company of YouTube, Telegram, Discord, Instagram, and Facebook before them–anywhere an ecomm “guru” can get an inexperienced audience while getting paid simply for content creation, to scam said audience.
ETA: But yes, Amazon is only looking at TikTok afaik.
