It appears that these “other” charge issues are being rectified. I have seen a handful already today posting that the charge is being refunded back.

Hello @Seller_3d8ZWl1fE3zAn @mtnlady @qualitytomes and other sellers asking about recent transactions.
A technical error resulted in some sellers being erroneously charged for adjustments on labels purchased through Buy Shipping. These charges were applied as “Other” transaction account debits on August 22 and September 10, 2025. Sellers impacted by this error will be reimbursed the full amount they were overcharged, including the extra postage and any associated taxes. These sellers will be notified via email, and credit will be applied as an “Other” transaction.
We understand that some of you have questions about charges outside of those dates, as well as charges on those dates that were determined to be valid. We are continuing to investigate to ensure we’ve identified all potential impacts. If additional errors are identified, you will be notified via email and refunded as appropriate.

Do you suppose the source of the incorrect charge has received a layoff notice?

Doubt it. That person has “excelled in creative ways to get more money into the Amazon coffers.”

In typical Amazon fashion, the messaging has changed today; now it’s being blamed on the carrier:

Hello @Particular_Things and other sellers inquiring about “Other” transactions.
A carrier technical issue resulted in a small subset of sellers being erroneously charged for adjustments on labels purchased through Buy Shipping. These charges were applied as “Other” transaction account debits on August 22 and September 10, 2025. We are fully refunding sellers impacted by this issue, including extra postage and any associated taxes. These sellers are being notified via email.
We understand that some of you may have additional questions about “Other” transactions appearing on your Payments Reports. If we identify additional issues, you will be notified via email and refunded as appropriate. We value your partnership and understand that errors like this can be frustrating. We are committed to preventing such issues with our carrier partners and resolving any that do arise quickly and smoothly.
This might have more plausibility if there didn’t exist some evidence that more than one carrier was involved…

AND the plausibility of this being the fault of anything other than its own faulty automated mechanisms takes another hit, over in the 1st NSFE thread:
