Oh if it’s a bulk order it’s probably a competitor screwing with you.
Companies typically don’t have a charge declined because they hit their credit limit

They’re not really hurting me (except for my disappointment). Most of the orders have gone through. It just takes 6 days for some reason. If the orders drop off, no harm to me. I don’t make anything until it’s live.
We just had 8 items fall off of FBM (FBus) out of the pending que after 10 days. All the same item, though we could not see if it was to the same person. I expect it was different locations.
Seen this before, they order, on separate orders, then have them shipped to different locations.
I think it was a corporate hygiene issue. They needed the PO, or approval, and it took so long they canceled, while it was in pending.
The particular item is custom and had a 5 day lead time. Odd for us, our standard is 1-2 days. So from the time of order, to the time it shipped would have been 15 days, add shipping you are at 20 days.
Me, if that happened, I would be why bother. These items we normally have in FBA, I bet it would have gone through.
The problem with this is we judge ourselves based on daily sales. Those sales were counted on the sales tally at Seller Central, yet they did not come through. Just a reminder, it aint’ over till its over.
Longest for us 6 weeks FBA. for FBus, 30 days as I recall.
The reason they do it is to tie up people’s inventory. It’s generally used to attack FBA sellers but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was done against FBM sellers too.
I have order limits of 3 or 4 items now on all listings primarily because of this issue, and the fact that large orders are associated with scams as well.
LOL. Tying up inventory wouldn’t work against me, not that a competitor would know that; I just increase my inventory. Knock wood, I have yet to be scammed (that I know of).
Hence why it’s typically used against FBA sellers, since they can’t fix that by changing a number.
It works somewhat against FBM sellers too, since if someone only has X units of something, they generally can’t just increase the inventory since if that order goes through and someone else orders one in the meantime they now have a problem. Usually if something seems suspicious on Amazon it’s because there’s actually some kind of malfeasance behind it.
Yes, they are.
Well, there are some stupid little scams, but the scams for bulk items hasn’t happened, or I’d notice it. Honestly, I don’t know why they do the little scams, 'cause it’s like stealing 10 cents. The stuff is literally not worth stealing unless it’s in bulk.
