Ok first time doing one of these, so help me do better next time!
I created a nice discount for a repeat buyer on a single item. (had two in stock). the promo created a link url that I shared with only her.
She bought it. I didn’t take it down before…someone else (def not her) also bought it and redeemed the offer. How did they find it?

The simplest answer is she shared it.
That’s what happened.

I really doubt it, based on our convos.
But I did some digging and found I forgot to uncheck a box…

I was assuming you created a private promotion, in which case only whoever you shared it with can re-share it.
But looks like you made it public by mistake. The way they say it is so broad it means it could be published anywhere.

Yeah I thought I had made a promo that only I could share. But that box must have been checked, as it is by default. Oh well, lesson learned!

But now I’m tempted to try this vs. coupons when I want to move stuff. If Amazon is sharing with folks who want to buy…hmmmm…

I mean, you did get a sale from it, so apparently it works

Late to the party, but that “limited share” could possibly be a nice boost for new products, or slow sellers.

I tried it after the original, and no takers. I did decent discounts, but not the 50% that must have made that one purchase a no-brainer. It did, however, bump the sales rank and I sold it again full-price soon after.
