LOL a grifting consultant’s bread-and-butter:

  1. Teach your poor trusting followers how to do “only a little” dirty for Amazon sales,
  2. Get them depending on that ill-gotten Amazon income for their familiy’s livelihood, and then
  3. Benefit from how quickly they fork over their last cash to you when it all catches up to them!

You don’t get paid if Sellers don’t get suspended

No, the attendees were engaging in ongoing criminal enterprises long, long before they found Ed, Ed just helps to keep alive the false hope that things like drop-ship and “retail arbitrage” are valid business models.

One example - saw a lady pushing a giant flatbed cart at the Costco, full of boxes of “Kosher Salt”. I decided to have fun, and asked her if she had a pickle factory somewhere. She replied “No, these are all gifts for my friends - there is a shortage!”
Now, there was a strike at one of the salt mines Morton bought from Windsor Salt (and I think that the mere phrase “working in the salt mines” justifies striking for better pay and working conditions
) but this foolish woman was thinking that the salt she was buying from Costco in massive 3-lb boxes was going to become as valuable as gloves, masks, and hand sanitizer in the early days of COVID.
I am almost certain that kosher salt did NOT generally go into short supply, but I must admit to laughing at the idea of some salt being “kosher” and other salt, from the same dried up sea, not being kosher. Rabbis need more science training.

Eh, calling a drop shipping business a criminal enterprise is a stretch. Prohibited by Amazon does not make it a crime, at most they can face a civil lawsuit for breach of contract by Amazon, or a civil lawsuit by the brands for trademark infringement, and that’s a longshot.

Also most drop shippers / RAs are barely an “enterprise.” Especially the ones that start up today, are usually some sucker who watched a youtube video or bought some course on how to get a suspended amazon account.

A large part of “kosher” certification today is basically a scheme to make the certification companies money. OU Kosher charges thousands of dollars annually to certify that your product is kosher. According to a 3rd party website, OU Kosher charges 3K per year for 5 SKUs, OU’s website says they certify over a million products. That’s over half a billion a year in revenue for basically doing nothing. Not a bad racket.

Kosher salt refers to the size or coarseness of the salt grains, as they are of a size suitable for the salting of meat as part of the “koshering” process. Finer salt such as standard table salt does not meet this requirement. Calling a product “kosher salt” is therefore a description of its contents and not a certification that the salt is kosher in the sense that it is permitted for Jews to eat.

In much the same way, a “kosher deli” is a description of the type of food available at that deli, not a statement that the food served there is actually kosher.

I’m surprised that Costco doesn’t have limits on how many items one shopper can purchase–though such limits certainly don’t stop RA Sellers from actually buying the quantities they want. They just use “workarounds”.

which does make your point that many of the 3P Sellers catered to by ASGTG, the E-Com Consulting Commando, and other “consultants” like them (who just haven’t been indicted yet) are likely already operating in the gray areas or farther into black hat and/or illegal tactics.

They do on some items. Not all

I mean, it IS called costco WHOLESALE.

Just because Amazon doesn’t recognize them as a legitimate source doesn’t mean they’re not a legitimate source for businesses that resell products.

Go to any bodega and half the stuff in there is from costco.

It is, and you can actually get a resale license from Costco (I have one, I do NOT use it for an Amazon source).

HOWEVER, that does not grant you a license to resale brands, only the brands can grant you that. It doesn’t even grant me a license to resell Kirkland Signature. This goes for ALL WHOLE SELLERS.

We ALL KNOW Joe and Karen Smith that are Reselling on Amazon items grabbed at Costco are NOT going to get a business license and have a resale permit active with the state, because the Guru that told them this is the way to earn $$$$$$$$ by doing nothing never told them to do that.

Normally, there are no limits on regular priced items. Items that are on sale will have a quantity limit. Items that have supply issues will often have limits (ie - toilet paper during COVID) especially when there is a run on the item.

If there’s a run on an item they get cleaned out real fast.

I tried to order 30 cases of water through instacart for costco during that time and the shopper said they had no water of any kind whatsoever available. Got beat to the punch there.

Both Costco and Sams ask us if our purchases are for wholesale. We only would need to provide our state sales tax number. Both Costco and Sams have several small local restaurants and convenience stores who purchase a variety of items to use/sale in their businesses. Both Costco and Sams sell items that are packaged / sold as a case and contain unit items packaged for individual sale. Both Costco and Sams built their business model with the intent to support small local business with product for resale. This business model was designed well before the internet and which was the wild west of retail. Over the years
traditional businesses have influenced the internet retail and thus have tried to bring it inline with B&M businesses.

Add how sales tax entered internet sales
 and here we are

Where there is money to be made, there will be players in the grey and black areas exploiting both the retailers and consumers.

3/10/2024 over in his group (sent by a friend)

What I’m wondering is if the tone will change after the probation is completed.

“the excellent work”?

Well then

What did you think he was “apologizing” for? Crimes? Don’t be ridiculous, he still maintains he didn’t commit any and this is all a huge frame-up.

I mean in reality it was “allowed to continue” making an income. The US Govt never said ASGTG was excellent work. But hey, what ever helps him sleep at night, right!

:grimacing: The tone is barely adequate now, even after being (apparently) severely warned for his unhinged comments and behavior in the early days, after being found GUILTY.

I firmly suspect that as soon as Ed Rosenberg is out from under the judge’s thumb, he will return to his lies, delusions, and gaslighting–as he has already done, in public.

But I also suspect that he and his criminal associates will be watched more closely than ever. :eyes:
