(PUBLIC) šŸ‘„ Amazon consultant Ed Rosenberg bribery case updates

Logged into my reddit account, had THREE replies from Ed, all along these same lines, to posts where I linked the Ecommerce Bytes post about his guilty plea.

His reply:

for the notes in 2018. For being a casual user of the notes. This is like .00001% of what the accusations were and even that was missing extreme context.

My reply:

Ed, are you seriously out here trying to justify yourself?! You are GUILTY. You did these things INTENTIONALLY, knowing they were not only prohibited but also wrong. Your actions put your clients and their competitors at greater risk. You colluded with other criminals. You lied about it, trying to make up some story about hacking and/or being framed. And you tried to threaten and intimidate an Amazon employee. AND you threatened me, for reposting public articles about this. You are an unethical person who can not accept responsibility for actual crimes to which you pled guilty. Apologies donā€™t change the facts.

Wait, wait! Thereā€™s moreā€¦

Heā€™s pasting the same reply everywhere, obviously trying to hack the SEO. Pathetic. He AGREED to the sentencing documents, with all allegations in it! LOL ā€œframed,ā€ as if he was that important to anyone.

What a victim complex.

He wonā€™t stop, yikes.

Sometimes I wonder if the person really knows what theyā€™re doing or if they really believe their own BS?

I think the story wouldā€™ve stayed consistent, if he really believed it.

But itā€™s continual evolution, trying to see what sticks? Full on intentional.

Self-aggrandizement via the self-actualization of oneā€™s own ego is a powerfully-pernicious force in These Modern Times.

To be fair, thatā€™s always been an element present throughout Recorded Human History, and even back into the shrouded mists of Time - but I would submit that the problem has become much-more prevalent since the latter-Ā½ of the 19th Century.

Nah, heā€™s just trying to flood the space with seedlings of ā€œreasonable doubtā€ for future victims clients.

HE doesnā€™t have to believe it, but he sure needs THEM to.

My girl says Iā€™m full hard rtard when it comes to ego but still donā€™t see myself pulling a rosenberg.

Alas the world is an interesting place along with its people.

Iā€™ve seen the guy with my own eyes. You could take him. A Girl Scout could take him. Heā€™d probably run away at the first punch, if it did not send him to the pavement.

Oh geez!!

Someone needs to remind ed the sentencing statementā€¦

ā€œAt the sentencing hearing, U.S. District Judge Richard A. Jones noted that Rosenberg ā€œparticipated in the scheme for a period of three years. You stopped because you got caught by law enforcement.ā€ā€

ā€œMr. Rosenberg participated in a scheme to bribe Amazon employees for confidential information and improper benefits ā€“ and he didnā€™t just funnel bribes through his co-conspirators to workers in India ā€“ he paid a Seattle Amazon employee more than $18,000 for confidential information,ā€ said Acting U.S. Attorney Gorman. ā€œAfter first attacking the federal indictment brought in this case, Mr. Rosenberg has now admitted his crimes and has publicized his regret about his criminal conduct as a warning to others who scheme to illegally manipulate the marketplace.ā€

Except that he is claiming he was blackmailed into it, and framed for the whole thing, yada yadaā€¦

He is banking on nobody reading court documents and just taking his word for it. And some will.

End of the day, he said the word ā€œguiltyā€ in court. And itā€™s on his record as such.

Now he is backpeddeling.

All I can say is it must be mighty nice to have $100k just sitting around to sent to the govt. Plus all the $ for the legal fees. Shows his overall income from his, ā€œbusinessā€ doesnā€™t it.

Makes ya think!

Yes, and judging from what Iā€™ve seen posted in other venues, some apparently see the conviction as a badge of honor: ā€œHe took it on the chin for us little guys.ā€

Sigh.

I think the problem there is that he did help people legitimately, and also committed crimes. Some people are not able to see that if he had stuck to helping sellers legitimately he would a) not have committed any crimes and b) still have been able to help people. He could have helped the little guys and still committed no crimes. The crimes are not an integral part of a legitimate consulting business..
