5 days for you to get the initial email that the account was “verified” or 5 days for the checkmark to appear?
Both, I saw the checkmark about 30 minutes prior to the email.
It only took me 45 mins but I found the thread I had seen…Cooper posted this on Amazon 4 days ago:
If you received an email confirming that you passed verification, please note that this email is accurate. Since updates to your Account Health page can take up to 24 hours, we advise you to check your Account Health periodically. If the update still has not appeared after 24 hours, then please reach out to Seller Support to let us know.
I have seen sellers mention on the forums some of the INFORM Act list items taking more than 24hrs to update from “In Progress” to a green checkmark. Please let me know if it ends up taking more than a few days and I can escalate a support case to the seller reverification team letting them know the status of your business address has not changed even though you have completed it.
I would take it with a grain of salt. I got that email confirming verification. I also later got the address verification warning/link that took me to the postcard page. They did send me a postcard and that did get rid of the warnings. So, you may need to verify the address.
To clarify, the email I rec’d was that one of my INFORM list items passed verification (in this case, my Banking info). But my checkmark still hasn’t appeared…
Yes, that is the email I am referring to. I received that email. Later, the address warning popped up.
I got the verification email this morning. Unfortunately, I think I made a mistake regarding the banking info verification. When I was filling out the section “Point of contact”, which required entering all personal information (name, DOB, country of birth, DL, residential address), I saw that the last requirement was uploading a bank statement. Since the whole section is about personal information, I uploaded a statement of my personal banking account, not the business one. I’m now afraid that they’ll come back and say that doesn’t match the info on my SC account, which is of course the business bank account, not the personal one, and that this will create issues with my next disbursement, which is scheduled for Tuesday.
Damn it. Way to get my stress level through the roof for the weekend… ![]()
If you’re doing the Legal Entity / Point of Contact verification item, the bank statement for that portion needs to be either a Credit Card or Bank Statement that matches the Legal Entity / Point of Contact person. So if that person is YOU, it needs to be in your name (personal bank statement).
The separate checkmark item on the INFORM list is for Bank Account verification for Amazon dispersements, also needs to match the Legal Entity / Point of Contact Person. If you’re registered under your name, this Bank Statement will also need to match your personal info.
Likewise, If you’re registered on Amazon as a Corporation, all of the bank statements are going to need to be business accounts.
Their system is currently incapable of handling an entity like mine, which is a Single Member LLC in Michigan… my legal ID is myself, but the bank account is correctly set up as an LLC for liability protection. I ended up having to verify my personal bank account just to get it accept.
Oh, that’s right. The problem is that, as others have reported, all the other fields are greyed out. I guess I’ll just have to wait until my identity is verified to continue with the other ones, including banking verification.
Yes, once the Identity has been verified, the other items will open up for verification
@Amazon_Seller and @Medic, thanks for your help…my yellow Inform Act banner disappeared yesterday morning, I believe I’m 100% verified now;) Thank you Thank you Thank you!
I went in yesterday and set my Default Bank Account to the one that was successfully verified earlier this week, and within an hour my Inform Act banner disappeared. Not sure if that was related or what, but I’m happy anyway!
1 small question…I just got my postcard for Address #2 that I attemped to verify last week (address #1 was verified successfully). Should I key in the code and risk triggering some sort of additional re-verification, or just file it away?
Thanks again guys! ![]()
Their system is also currently incapable of handling Corporations. I continually get emails from my SS ticket that “we’re working on it with the appropriate internal department”, along with lots of superfluous apologies & assurances that they apologize for the problem and they understand how it makes me feel.
There must be some amount of time which SS is penalized for aging tickets, because these status non-updates come with a fair amount of regularity.
Absolutely 100%. They can’t figure out how to verify a Single Member LLC either.
Just saw a new post in the NSFE that shows the following:
Note: Bank account verification may take from 48 to 72 hours to complete. We’ll notify you via email when your bank account has been verified or to inform you of any additional steps that are required. If you choose to use a different bank account for verification, or if you add a new bank account for verification, you must assign the verified bank account to the Amazon.com store from the Assign Deposit Method or Replace Deposit Method pages.
I bet my Verification was hanging up because I hadn’t assigned that account specifically as my default for Amazon.com until yesterday.
Is there even a box to enter the code?
I would think if everything has been verified and the banners are gone, a box wouldn’t be showing. ![]()
Yep, there’s a spot for sure.
I just don’t wanna screw it up either way…I mean, the address is good and it should verify fine, I just don’t want to re-trigger something else…lol
I’m thinking it might be best practice to verify this address, because although the banner is gone from the main page, this “line item” still doesn’t show verified once I open it"… Whatcha think?
If it were me, I would enter the code. ![]()
Done! Verified OK, now all of my “line items” show verified in some way after drilling down thru the menus individually.
I don’t drink, but I might need to celebrate now (knocking on wood LOL)
Thanks again @Medic and eveyrone else here on SAS!
It’s definitely been a group effort!!
I feel the same way…![]()
