Question about Banking Verification for INFORM Act

There have been a few mentions of this or that SoA (‘Amazonese’ for “Selling on Amazon”) Account not having a link to the ORA Dashboard available in the Business Information section of the Account Information Dashboard over the years in the ASF - some dating back to the Jive Platform-hosted days which were superseded 2Feb`18 by the Discourse Platform (aka the OSFE in ‘SASsese’); the last spate of these, before the current INFORM Consumers Acct-verification debacle which has absorbed the NSFE since mid-March of 2023, were to be found in various of the 2021 threads prompted by the Commercial Liability Insurance Policy-enforcement Initiative (citational references available upon request).

We ourselves have never had such a direct link available to us, like you and many another - but because I paid close attention to the aforesaid mentions over the years, I was able to suss out the ‘simplified default’ URL of the ORA Dashboard, which is (with an added space to break the link):

https: //sellercentral.amazon.com/hz/account-info/ora

Here, one may typically find listed EVERY address that has ever been used, either on one’s ‘Primary’ Buyer Account side of one’s SoA Account, or on the ‘Secondary’ SoA Account (Seller) side of things.

At this point in your journey - already being verified - should you choose to navigate to the ORA Dashboard (by reconstructing the link above), and see that your Business Address is listed, but not ‘ticked’ (as do I as of this writing), I would recommend simply exiting the page w/o taking any action, and wait for the dust to settle on what I call the “Apr.`23 SIV Snafu” - which could take months - before revisiting & ‘ticking’ the correct entry.

Great info to know ,once the dust settles I’ll take a look
Thank you!

You are most welcome, my friend - and congratulations on successfully navigating your way clear of the minefield!

As you astutely noted upthread, the group effort provided here in the SAS (‘BSFE’ - “BEST Seller Forums Experience” - in ‘Dogtamerese’) by the seasoned & savvy forum veterans on this subject - all the way back to @oneida_books’ 6Feb23 SAS thread Just an FYI on all the account reverifcations, and why , and related threads - truly has been like a beacon of light shining at the end of a dark tunnel…

More an update for all…

I went to the bank yesterday and asked for a letter on their colored letterhead.

She handed it to me signed, and emailed it unsigned.

I submitted and within three hours got verified.

The ladies at the bank looked at me like I was crazy – small credit union – but it worked.

SO thank you for whomever suggested I give that a try.

I am good to go.

Did you submit the letter together with the bank statement (in 1 file) or separately?

There is a seller on the NSF who is trying to verify their Bank Info with a Credit Union statement.

Imagine the ■■■ pain involved if you are a small home business who uses an online only bank or are simply rural where your local bank is an hour away, and your cousin Jeb, only works on Thursdays.

This has apparently proven to be a bit of a bug-a-boo for quite a few 3P Sellers since April, from what I’ve read in the multiple NSFE SIV Snafu discussions, evidently as a result of differing regulatory practices for the two institutional types, and Amazon not having provided accommodation for both.

One combined PDF as only one document can be loaded for proof.

Create a single PDF with the Bank (Union) letter head saying who owns, the account number and address … signed by bank followed by a complete bank statement. This has been the successful method as reported on NSFE by those who had to do it.

Amz finally came up with the cover letter solution, but it doesn’t help if Seller Support is unaware, so they can advise sellers that are struggling to get verified.

This seller has been trying for over a month and SS told them to add a new deposit method.

Thanks, LMM!!

Nor if the Amabots can’t keep from shooting themselves in the head:

WHY THE HELL AM I GETTING DEACTIVATION THREATS FOR INFORM CONSUMER ACT WHEN I HAVE HAD EVERYTHING VERIFIED FOR WEEKS NOW?!! (link, NSFE)

Sigh.
