Due to a new UPS security protocol, you’ll be required to re-authenticate your UPS-linked accounts on Amazon Buy Shipping by January 31, 2025.
Re-authentication will be required to purchase shipping labels with UPS-linked account rates with Buy Shipping via Seller Central, Buy Shipping APIs, or a multichannel integrator.
To re-authenticate your UPS-linked accounts, use the following steps:
Go to Manage your carrier accounts on Seller Central.
Click the Authenticate button for your linked UPS accounts.
Fill in the required fields in the UPS account linking page. You can learn more on the Manage your carrier accounts page.
Click Next and you’ll be redirected to UPS to authenticate your accounts.
Follow UPS authentication prompts.
When you complete the authentication process, you’ll be redirected to Manage your carrier accounts on Seller Central.
If you use UPS shipping services with our negotiated rates through Buy Shipping, you’re not required to take any action.

We do not use UPS but for those of you who do … you need to do this by January 31, 2025.
I only use UPS when I sent packages for FBA shipments to FCs, and just buy the labels through Amazon during the “Send to Amazon” workflow. So I meet the above statment and don’t meet to do anything, right?
We do not do FBA so we do not know if UPS labels purchased for FBA shipments are done through Amazon Buy Shipping. With that being said … if the UPS labels for FBA shipments to Amazon are charged to your account the same way that a UPS label for an order purchase through Amazon Buy shipping is charge to your account, then you probably would need to except if you are using Amazon’s UPS negotiated rates through Buy Shipping …
I’m not sure what you mean by “your account”, UPS account?
I don’t think I have an UPS account. UPS labels purchased for FBA shipments are shipping labels that are deducted from my Amazon “Payment”, and I assume the rates are negotiated between Amazon and UPS, so they should be the same as like Buy Shipping for orders, right?
We also got this email and only use the Buy Shipping UPS labels.
On another note, I received a letter from Fedex yesterday that we owed over $111 as a size adjustment on a package that was delivered August 2. It had my name and business name…so I knew it was a real letter. I put the tracking in on the sheet and it shows it shipped from New Jersey (we are in Wisconsin) and delivered in Georgia. We had no record of this tracking, either, anywhere on Amazon or anywhere else. Turns out someone must have either stolen our account number somewhere because we never shipped that package and I never even use my Fedex account (and I haven’t logged in anywhere, either, in terms of any type of phishing email).
Fedex did reverse the adjustment and forwarded it to their fraud time. Just another reason for me that shipping with our own account for Amazon isn’t worth it.
It seems not to have been a targeted email, but a blanket one. I received it. Have never used Amazon buy-shipping (not even set up). Have never used UPS.
There are a few scattered threads on the Amazon forum now.
