Review your virtual multipack listings by November 10

Hello,

We’re creating virtual multipack listings for some Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) brand-owned products that show strong customer demand for multi-unit purchases.

A virtual multipack combines multiple units of your existing single-pack FBA products into one listing, which we fulfill with existing single-pack inventory. Virtual multipacks allow you to sell multiple units of the same product as a single offer with no change to your operations and no need to physically package items together.

We’ll create all virtual multipacks by October 28, 2026, and you’ll have through November 10, 2026, to review or delete them before they’re available to customers. On November 11, 2026, all virtual multipacks that you haven’t deleted will be available for customers to purchase.

Each virtual multipack will have a unique ASIN and SKU and will appear as a variation on the original, single-pack product detail page. By default, all virtual multipacks will be priced according to the current per-unit list price. You can set a percentage discount on the virtual multipack or run coupons or ads to help drive more sales.

Virtual multipacks are already available for vendor products on Amazon. For example, this pack of four shaving foams is a virtual multipack.

To review your virtual multipacks, go to Manage All Inventory, and filter for VMP_. To edit the price, title, or description, click Edit virtual multipack. To delete the virtual multipack, go to the hamburger menu, and select Delete listing.

That eventually went away, w/o any noticeable effect on our SoA Accounts - but I’m always chary about Amazon ‘helping’ me…

Exactly. I tried out the AI listing tool that is supposed to improve your listings. Turns out the only tool in that situation was me. Thankfully I tried it out on a slow moving SKU just to see how it works. Well, it turned something that was in no way related to a pesticide into a pesticide, blocked the item for sale, threatened me with FBA disposal while demanding the chemical data sheets for that product. Yes, very helpful…

They have been doing them in waves since the beginning of the year. We’ve had a few created and let them ride. If someone wants to buy 2 of something for the same price, with a little less FBA fee - have at that ish… Lol

I have checked periodically since they rolled this out around this time last year, never seen any. I was glad about this. I’m just hoping this doesn’t represent an escalation in their virtual listings, even though I know it does.

URGENT: Amazon-Created Virtual Multipack (VMP) Overwriting Original 1-Pack ASIN Main Image Hello Amazon Seller

Hello Amazon Seller Forums Team and Amazon Moderators,

We urgently need assistance with a serious catalog image issue caused by Amazon’s automatically generated Virtual Multipack (VMP) ASIN.

Amazon recently created a 2-Pack VMP ASIN for our existing 1-Pack product and automatically added it to the same variation family. Since then, the 2-Pack VMP main image has incorrectly replaced the original 1-Pack ASIN’s main image, even though the original ASIN still sells and fulfills only ONE pack.

Here is what we have confirmed:

Edit Listing > Images: The original 1-Pack ASIN shows the CORRECT single-pack main image.

Manage All Inventory: The original 1-Pack ASIN incorrectly displays the 2-Pack VMP image as its thumbnail.

Amazon.com Product Detail Page: The original 1-Pack ASIN also incorrectly displays the 2-Pack VMP main image to customers.

Actual Product: The original ASIN still represents and fulfills only ONE pack.

This is extremely concerning because customers are being shown TWO packs when they are actually purchasing only ONE. This creates a significant risk of misleading customers, increased returns, negative reviews, and potential damage to our listing performance.

We have not made any changes to the original ASIN’s main image. The issue appeared after Amazon automatically created and linked the VMP ASIN.

We urgently request Amazon moderators to:

Escalate this issue to the appropriate Catalog Technical Team for immediate investigation.

Restore the correct 1-Pack main image on the original ASIN across Amazon.com and Manage All Inventory.

Investigate and correct the image contribution or mapping conflict between the original ASIN and the automatically generated VMP.

Remove the incorrect VMP variation association if it is responsible for the issue.

Provide guidance on opting out of future automatically generated VMP listings to prevent this from happening again.

This is NOT a standard image upload issue. The correct image is already present in Edit Listing, but Amazon’s system is displaying the wrong image in both Manage All Inventory and the customer-facing product detail page.

We would greatly appreciate an Amazon moderator’s urgent intervention and escalation, as this issue is actively affecting our customers and product listing accuracy.

Virtual Multipack Main Image displaying on the source ASIN listing

I have two new VMP SKUs that were added to my seller account on July 20th. As explained on the help page, the image generated for this 2-Pack is the source ASIN’s main image but should not be published until August 10th. For some reason, these images are now displaying on my “single-pack ASIN”.

Virtual multipack images won’t appear on Manage All Inventory until August 10, 2026, when the multipacks become available for customers.

How are images generated for virtual multipacks?

We will automatically create your virtual multipack images using images from the single-pack product. The style of the virtual multipack primary image depends on the pack size.

2-pack: Two single-pack images shown side by side

3-4 pack: Single-pack images shown in a layered format

5-6 pack: Single-pack image with “Pack of 5” or “Pack of 6” sticker in the top right.

All other images from the single-pack will be copied over to the virtual multipack. We recommend reviewing and updating images after July 26, 2026. Note that if you change the image of the single-pack ASIN, the virtual multipack will not update automatically.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue??
