RFS for thee but not for mee.

Returned an item to Amazon, FBA so it should be RFS right?

Nope.

What is this BS of 14 to 30 days and a timeline that says they will refund after receiving it.

I’ve gotten a few of these. Mostly on items I assume are high return fraud. Not justifying it, I 100% agree with you!

Was it over $100?

That is what I was going to ask as well.

How did you return it? Like UPS sore, drop-off location or a staples?

No about $15

UPS store dropoff with label and in a box.

Ok, the last question would be did you ask for refund to original payment or a gift card balance?

This may be the factor

If I do not choose gift card balance, I have to wait.

I always choose gift card balance.

Yup-if you choose the gift card balance it’s a few hours. If you choose the original payment, it’s a waiting game, but usually never that long.

Original payment

Again shouldn’t make a difference.

Absolutely makes a difference when you they can just push a button to transfer to a gift card and the other takes a little more to credit back to your bank/card.

Yepper - every-single second that a dollar amount can be assigned to an interest-bearing ā€˜float’ account redounds to the depositor’s gain.

A financial mechanism, that, which Amazon has a long history of exploiting.

They haven’t even issued the refund yet.

They received the item 3 days ago. If that were us the refund would have automatically credited the customer.

I know it takes about 24-72 hours to show on a bank statement, but they haven’t even issued it yet.

As the others have suggested, have future refunds applied to a gift card balance. It may not seem right or fair that a refund to a credit card should take so long, but this is Amazon’s ballpark.

The refund to Amazon gift card option seems to be missing right now. Your only options are replace with exact same item (NO, cause someone stuck the wrong ASIN sticker on it so the whole batch is suspect) or refund to CC.

They are also not even acknowledging returns at time of drop off at the UPS store. In fact my return earlier this week (I don’t return much) I scanned the qr code at the self service kiosk and ti balked and said ā€œSee associateā€. No issue with a human with the same qr code though. Amazon still says " Return started" not the normal ā€œdropped offā€ when scanned in at UPS. Something is strange in AZville
