I had a wrong item returned - wrong product, very worn/used, dirty, and damaged. It appears the customer used our product to replace their old, damaged product.
I suspect this buyer has done this before, because Amazon did not auto-credit the buyer a refund at first scan. I completed the return as “Item Not Returned” and in the note to the buyer, referenced how the item returned was not our brand and didn’t match the number we sent to them.
I wanted to file a Safe-T claim to get reimbursed for the return shipping, but it says the order is ineligible because “Seller needs to be debited to be eligible to file SAFE-T claim”.
Is there any way around this to get the return shipping refunded?
I suppose in the grand scheme of things, I’m better off than if I had to do a Safe-T claim for the entire return amount as I would have lost more even after Amazon’s partial credit.
