I just had my first experience with a Safe-T claim; a return that I kept thinking simply hadn’t been sent back (happens a lot); not until I had another return request did I look and see that this one had “Previous Refund Applied” next to it; it showed that it was returned to me Oct 3 (which happened to be while I had a guest, so not paying as much attention to details as normal).
But since I never received the package, I filed for Safe-T to get a refund. Today, I got the “Refused” notice on the claim; within just a few minutes of UPS finally actually delivering the package.
I’m going to guess that it was Amazon just applying the RFS in reverse. Also, you are correct about it NOT being a coincidence – just start every situation with Amazon by applying Rule 39: There is no such thing as a coincidence. Gibbs doesn’t believe in coincidence. Rule 39 was first mentioned in “Obsession” (Episode 21, Season 7). (Courtesy of this site –‘NCIS’: What Are Gibbs' Rules?)
I’ve never had a SAFE-T claim granted for INR when the return tracking shows delivered. Amazon considers that good enough for buyers, and they don’t even have to buy Amazon’s shipping (or ship on time).
I believe it was a coincidence, and also another example of Amazon’s frustrating policies.
