Coming back to this…

I missed the post by KJ above saying that price-banded shipping templates would not be affected. Of course, today, June 30…the last day, they send an email confirming the same (when I changed all our shipping settings last night).

I am wondering if I should change them back to price banded real fast while I can…

Question, though, when I go to change to per item/weight based…it actually says “PER ORDER” where you set the rates. So, which is it? Will they be charging my customer $7.99 per item or $7.99 per order (even if they have 10 items in their order) for the shipping price? Big difference there…

Can’t I just bypass all that in the per item/weight section by doing the below…meaning charging a flat fee per shipment and then changing the charge for “additional item” or “additional pound” to $0?

We have done that with Expedited (when we used it). Set the per order $ amount and set $0.00 on the item /lb option. We were using Priority Mail Flat Rate envelopes when we did this and it worked.

Yeah it does work….as with a lot of their stuff, Amazon’s wording for this stuff sucks.
