  1. I don’t want the grand prize.
  2. the daily prizes aren’t worth the time it would take to participate.
  3. I’m not inclined to play stupid games to drum up activity numbers for the NSFE.

I woke up from a bad Amazon nightmare, saw that thread, and went back to sleep. Alas, I awakened again to another nightmare before Christmas.

I got a good chuckle at the first days thread. The question was asked who would you want to meet at accelerate and most people didn’t even bother answering the question…but those that did mostly wanted to meet the Handmade team :woman_shrugging::laughing::crazy_face::grimacing:

Amazon creating this thread is ‘ALMOST’ as cringey as reading the responses. Talk about groveling.

 …and then also how you can’t track new replies on topics to see the winner announcements

I don’t understand. I guess they wish the NSFE was more “Seller community” and less “frantic demands for Seller support”

They are trying to get the engagement back from pre-NSFE. It just isn’t gonna happen. The interface is so bad and clunky, it is slow, it is so bland it makes seller help look downright well designed.

Agreed; I’m convinced that this is one of the primary reasons why the FMT-CMT mods (along with a select few of the AHT SMEs) have taken to, in recent biz quarters, going out of their way to shed praise on the contributions of the seasoned & savvy vets who still participate over in the NSFE - many of whom, as you know, are also members of the Sellers ASK Sellers/SAS Forum.

I suspect that even if Amazon were to fix all of that - by designing a better software suite implementation, devoting more network resources to the NSFE, what have you - it still wouldn’t be likely to increase engagement by the old hands; the doxxing’s the thing that drove many of us away, and unless that changes, (which I don’t see as probable - remember the RSS-Feeds loophole for identifying a poster back in the Age of Jive?), I feel comfortable in predicting that the ASF will continue to be a mere shadow of what went before.

Thanks, Katie, you Unscrupulous Termagant. Your efforts in fostering the SAS are the best praise I can offer…

Just because you serve kool-aid doesn’t mean the kids are going to drink it …

... but then ...

Unless of coarse you spike the kool-aid and then even the grown ups will drink it …
