Ship to Amazon Options Are Weird to Me

Amazon still has that weird shipping speed option – sometimes, as it doesn’t exist sometimes also – that still doesn’t make sense. It is insane expensive and I’m not sure the benefit save for the inventory getting listed quicker. Has anyone confirmed if it also means guaranteed faster shipping (like overnight or one-day) on items that come in to Amazon this way? I ask this because I need to send two full pallets to Amazon, and the system gave me two options:

3 different pallets, all loaded differently, for about $500. Insane, I can almost parcel ship it this way.

Or the “less efficient” option, where I do 2 equally sized pallets to same destination for $174

I’m doing the cheaper option and just sending some ahead by parcel the fast way also to ensure stock remains.

I’m not getting the nonsense in shipping speeds and crazy pricing to boot.

Anyone figure out if there are more stacked benefits to paying the increase for what they say is faster shipping?

Not yet and hopefully don’t plan to find out. Our “Safety Stock” is 8 weeks at FBA. Never let it go below that to ensure same day / next day Prime nationally. It’s super important in my category.

yeah. I actually tried a new logistics option for container and it was cheaper, but had more delays, pushing one of our subscription products on the brink. So doubled down the send.
