Shipment is showing it has reached the fulfillment center with tomorrow's date on the time stamp

I’m confused, is there some kind of warp in the space-time continuum between me and this FC? Why is it showing it has been accepted at the fulfillment center with a time stamp of Oct 24, 2023 11:59:00 PM?

I’d be inclined to think it’s akin to the Event Details phenomenon embodied by Amazon’s interfaces/GUIs displaying “Carrier picked up the package” when no such thing has occurred:

poor programming.

This happens to me occasionally. In the end, everything has turned out fine so far.

Quite possibly. I would consult Captain Jonathan Archer to see if this is such an occurrence.

The short answer is, FBA inbound shipments are such a large % of UPS’s volume that it’s handled in a special workflow.

The long answer… yeah… don’t think anyone wants to get into that.

UPS probably filled the trailer and using the EDI data cutoff for next day pushed that as your result.
We used to generate the same thing with one of our shipping systems when we had a route delivery loaded the day prior. Because the inventory was loaded on an assigned trailer, the system forwarded it to a future status based on end of day batching.

Tend to believe, based on our own experiences, just like the OP’s, that you are correct.

@MissMeliss - Nothing to be worried about IMO. Welcome to this forum BTW. :slightly_smiling_face:

FBA is a mess right now. Amazon asked for all of everyone’s Q4 inventory by this Thurs and ever since that email went out it’s been an unmitigated disaster shipping to Amazon…

Q: Wonder if this is a consequence of Amazon using UTC time

A: Nope. It’s still today in UTC (as of 2:30p ET).

Sorry @MissMeliss, I was hoping there was an explanation that didn’t involve predicting the future.

I’m going to go ahead and mark this as the solution since it sounds right. It’s the first time that I have seen this on one of my shipments instead of delivered, and like @ASV_Vites said, it’s probably because of the time of year.

This happens to us frequently even with SPD shipments. Eventually it shows the correct information.
