I’ve been shipping my wood jewelry from US to Canada for ages via USPS, but I stopped shipping there last year, after all the tariffs fiasco. My question is: do you guys still ship to Canada, and if so, did anything change? Besides the Etsy invoice on the outside of the package, do I need any other forms for the customs? Does Canada puts tariffs on the product, and if it does do I have somehow pay USPS upfront? The Etsy’s Seller Handbook does not offer any info, and the new forum is no help. Thank you for your time.
I shipped an order to Toronto a few months ago via PirateShip. I entered the harmonization codes into pirateship (same with most shippers) and it generated the one sheet label/invoice signed it and stuck it to the box.
All postage and any Tariff’s were paid right there and then, recipient was delivered the package and no bill.
Now if you use UPS/Fedex/DHL, expect to pay more and yeah, unexpected bills
I also use Pirate Ship for my international orders via USPS, so it is good to know. Thank you for your reply.
I used USPS international first class today on Shipstation and it was easy.
I had to fill out some more detailed information, but none of that printed out.
So…it’s always been that way.
