Spring Cleaning Got Expensive

I guess there’s a tariff on car washes because I just spent $130 (incl tax and tip) on one…

10 years old - 90K miles. Looking quite spiffy…

But I’m sure your $80 tip was greatly appreciated! :upside_down_face:

We gave one of our daughters a 20 year old car with 72,000 on it a couple of months ago. On the weekend that the son in law drove it home, he put about 1,100 miles on it which was about equal to what we drove it the entire year before.

We didn’t have it washed before we gave it to them because … well that would have meant we would have had to drive it.

$30… $10 for the first set of guys, and $20 to the guy that spent 35 mins on the inside.

It was the deluxe package. It’s going in for service tomorrow and the service manager gets mad if I bring it in dirty (not kidding), and the inside was gross from the winter…

WOW — YOU are the little old lady that only drives to church on Sunday???

The car my wife has is the replacement for the one that crashed with the drunk so it is 4 1/2 years old. It currently has 180,000 miles on it.

It’s about 50 miles round trip to her store almost every day so that alone is between 15,000 and 18,000 depending on how many days she takes off – normally not very many!

I should have bought an oil well back when we were selling them in the investment business…

Yeah, we drive a LOT…

Would it help if we told you our pickup is 20 years old with about 82,000 miles?

Worked from home 17 of the last 20 years. Daily trip to the post office is 3/4 mile round trip. Shopping twice a month round trip is 100 miles (so 200 a month).

Most of the miles we put on were trips to LA, Las Vegas and Phoenix.

Insane, car looks good though! I knew you were close but damn I used to live just south of there.

“5 Corners” is expensive… They do an amazing job though. Best I’ve seen
