Strange Amazon buy shipping issue, won't let me ship USPS for orders going to TX and CA today.

Lets hit the obvious

Orders checked,
Handling time 2 days
Ship by date 4/9
Arrive by 4/12
Shipping is set to 3-5 days for arrival (so 7 days total)

ETA based on USPS for all orders 4/12

for TX orders only options is UPS ground (which takes longer than USPS GA) or faster
For CA orders only options are USPS Priority mail or UPS 3 day select or faster.

Orders are saying must ship by 4/9.

We are in West Texas and are seeing Zone 4 to East Texas USPS estimated delivery times of 5 to 6 days. It’s crazy because we can send to Hawaii Zone 8 and have an estimated delivery be 3 to 4 days. It seems most Zone 4 shipments for us have this 5 to 6 day transit while Zone 5 and Zone 6 are seeing 3 to 5 day transit times.

It could be that “local” Zone 4 is traveling by ground. For us, East Texas destinations use to go by air into Dallas / Fort Worth and would be delivered in 2 or 3 days … but not recently.

We have our template set to 5 to 8 days for lower 48 with Texas split out and set to 2 to 4 days. We also have a 2 day handle time set at item level. We have not had an issue of not having USPS Ground Advantage labels available.

Check to make sure Automated Handle Time didn’t get “turned on” by Amazon.
If Handle Time is set at item level, check the Handle Time setting there.
Are you clicking the “see more options” to see the complete list of what is available for shipping?

The top 3 options shown for buy shipping has not been consistent when showing options lately.

That was the first thing I did, but as I said only orders to TX and CA

I am guessing based on what you said something is wrong with the USPS interface.

Amazon’s interpretation of USPS interface.

We don’t see those delivery times when using Shipstation on PayPal or even USPS.com.
