This is the USA in the 21st Century. Why would anyone be accused of having an open mind and wanting public comments?

Because good honest civil discourse started its death spiral long before its famous public media display in the 1960s where comments like calling someone a “Crypto N azi” and “We know your tendency is to be feline…”
It’s the lack of civil discourse towards one another.

Apparently the trending form of social discourse cowardice is to see how close to the line one can come without crossing over it using innuendo and dog whistling to make one’s vague point, instead of making a coherent debatable assertion and being open to discourse over it in the appropriate venue.

It was a joke - 4 hours - get it. Not 8, that normal people work, or 12 like us.

and I mis-heard the message. Call days are only TUES, WEDS, THURS.

Thats 12 hours a week for a nation of 330 million.

I’d admit I chuckled, though that’s not even remotely funny.
Maybe it’ll be 12 hours a month if they continue the layoffs.
Doesn’t seem to me that the current administration cares about those voice messages anyway.
