This is a good point haha
Gonna be honest. I stopped caring a few years ago.
Someone actually requested UPS shipping for an order from my website. somehow they got charged $19.99 through the UPS interface. When I went to ship it the cost to ship was $25. This was a $5 item I was not going to take a loss on this order.
Go to stamps.com and the UPS charge is $6.21. So I pay 4x as much through my account? Thanks for ripping off small businesses.
Yeah, a few years back I went to a local FedEx Kinkos to drop off a pre-packed and pre-labeld packaged. The manager said they literally would not be able to take the package because there was a slight (<.5") bump on the top of the package from having filled it slightly too much with packing peanuts. They offered to repack/rebox the package for of course a huge fee.
Nahsir.
Long gone are the āgive em the pickleā days.
OR at least that phrase has a different connotation now..
My coworker lost our 4XL a few weeks ago, so we bought a 5XL. Setting it up had some issues, had to contact Dymo support, but it seems to work fine now.
We also have a Zebra and we use the labels interchangeably.
I had a Zebra LP2844 that was problematic with most cheap roll labels. Only one brand I used was problem free. I upgraded to a Zebra 450 and it has handled all labels Iāve thrown at it. Many roll labels have problems at the end of the roll wasting lots of labels. I made the switch to fanfold and have had no problems however cheap the labels. The fan fold are considerably cheaper than rolls. I always do a āscratchā test when using new labels. Some of the cheap ones mark up pretty easy on the face when scratched.
Not a fan of the newer dymos, with the RFID tag in the label roll to prevent you from buying 3rd party labels. Joke is on them, once you use a roll, take the rfid sticker off and stick it inside the housing, now it always thinks you have legit rolls!
Great! Now tell me the secret to nespresso pods please
Donāt know that one but I know K Cups gave up on the whole scheme a while back!
DC is fine and all but it does not really hold a candle to Coke Zero.
Coke C2 was pretty good while it lasted.
I tried this, it never works for me. I must be doing it wrong but I canāt imagine how.
Looking at your link, One of the images shows they are UPS branded labels. The ones they give shippers for free. https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/qpEAAOSwjeJlsHDo/s-l1600.jpg
This always rubbed me the wrong way. Plus, if you are using USPS, you would have to, though most people donāt cut off the bottom of the label.
I remember ordering half sheets on eBay years ago, they were drop shipped from UPS. Something I could have asked for at no cost.

Apparently the reader isnāt great so the positioning has to be somewhat precise
The ones that I bought (not these) are plain white labels and were a heck of a deal. I have no idea where the seller got them from ā it could have been lost freight or whatever.
The OP was looking for ideas and these popped up. Sort of like using the Amazon āsearch engineā ā GIGOā¦
Those are the ones that I got and they are working great. That seller is no longer on eBay but when you look at the store info he has a contact number to āredirectā business off eBay.
Must have taken lessons from some Amazon sellersā¦
I thought the price was great on the ones you pointed to, I found others on eBay in the same price range. On Amazon they are in the $99 range.
For us, we are in temporary tight quarters. I donāt even have the room to put them behind the printer. So for now we use rolls. When we move, I am going looking, better price, and no more changing rolls.
@Tried_Tested How is this printer working for you a year later? In my never-ending battle against cords Iām seriously considering ditching my Dymo XL for one of these since theyāre relatively cheap. I would Bluetooth everything in my office if I could!
I spent over 2 hours one day moving the RFID sticker around inside the housing, no dice. I use it as a paperweight now.
