Trouble printing thermal fnsku labels

I’m having trouble with the 30 up format alignment, Amazon is warning me about un-scannable labels so I got 2x1 labels for my Rollo printer.

I followed how-to videos to set the size (50 mm x 25 mm) and used the label detection function on the printer but the full label is not printing, the sides are cut off. It looks like large margins are set but the setting is zero on all sides.

The label pdf from Amazon looks fine. Does anyone have an idea what is happening and how to fix it?

Hmmm - I was printing from the pdf that opened in Firefox, as I always did with the 30-up.
I just downloaded the label, opened with Adobe Reader and it printed correctly. So it seems Firefox is the culprit! Still at a loss for why, but at least I can get printing and prepping now!

edit - maybe Firefox was the problem with the 30-up alignment?? The top margin was very small and Amazon’s scanners did not like that.

You probably would have to play with the Print Position Adjustment setting when using the FireFox PDF. FireFox retains prior use settings and that can mess things up too.

We set FireFox (and Chrome) to use Adobe Reader for all PDFs. Much more controllable.

Yeah I should change that open-with setting. I used to have them open with Adobe Reader. I got lazy after an update and started letting it open in a new browser tab.

I don’t know where the Print Position Adjustment setting is for the Firefox pdf. But probably better to open them with Reader anyway.

The setting is in the Rollo Printer Printing Preferences. You can see it in the image that you posted above.

I thought you were referring to a Firefox setting. I did try changing margins and it made it worse.

This is going to sound silly, but what’s your “layout” tab look like? I suspect you’re set up wrong there somewhere.

There are some thermal printer sizes I would rather draw in sharpie than get to work on the printer (it’s usually a combination of printer and orientation on the roll, to be fair) but it’s usually a battle of “fit to page” and figuring out the combination of portrait and landscape and swearing to get it right.

Not FireFox … but in the Rollo Printer Printing Preferences in the Print position adjustment

This controls where the program sees the label at and moves the starting points of where the label is located at so that when you print the margins begin in the right spot.

It is very similar to how we create a size and position for engraving.

I know on my Zebra I Can enter negative numbers to get it more to the left.

Does rollo do that?
What does the “Stock” tab show? any adjustments there?

No negatives on the Rollo setting. I adjusted where I could except I missed the print position adjustment setting.
The downloaded label printed correctly from Adobe Reader. It was the pdf opened in a new Firefox tab that did not print right.
Since I can print them from AR I’m ok with that.
