Unshipped orders are Critical now?

These aren’t due to ship until tomorrow - critical should be reserved for late orders, not the usual due to ship the next day orders! Treat us like children, geez.

the other action is rated MEDIUM for returns, auto-authorized, the ball is in the buyer’s hands.

On this page, that I’ve never seen before:

https:// sellercentral .amazon.com/amazonsell/business

edited to break link

That is how the new seller central is coded.

On the old seller central page, it still shows as this …

We think it is a coding error on the new seller central. There have been other coding errors that have been fixed over the time Amazon has been playing with this new version.

We wouldn’t get too excited about it just yet.

I know I am good with my shipping schedule, it’s just jarring to see a red CRITICAL.

I did not accept use of the new Seller Central yet, must be it’s becoming mandatory now.

Do you have the toggle button on the upper left to return to the old seller central?

We still do although we have a banner proclaiming the new seller central is coming soon.

No I do not. Apparently that is the new seller central home page? The browser tab label is New Amazon Selling Experience.

I ran into the new experience last week on the FBA Shipments page, but not anywhere else.

I never opted in and now cannot opt out.

We will all be forcibly migrated. You just got there first.

After working on a project here at the farm, cutting brush with the bush hog, I came in and made some products that have to ship, one tomoroww, for a good sales channel. Then a few for Amazon, so I took a break and logged in we were just forcibly migrated, after 7am EDT and before 11:30am EDT. here on July 20th.

I was a lot more productive on the 30 year old tractor.

Why does Amazon have to keep playing with that type of stuff. CLEARLY they have never run a small business.

Maybe this will help (posted in the Amazon forum by a disgusted seller)

edited to add: apparently it does not stick and you have to do it again every time

I also logged in this morning to discover the new format had been enabled for my account. I was not looking forward to having to figure it out on a Monday morning, so I was sooo happy to see you point out this option. Thank you!

I found a workaround for this. Not sure how long it will last but it is working for me.

Take the following link. Amazon Sign-In

Open it, you will see the old Seller Central window. Then save that in your bookmarks bar. I named it “Amazon_Sell_Cent for” testing. My old link is labeled “SelCent” Click the first, it goes to the Old Page, Click the second it goes to the new page.

New seller central home page url shows as this for us …

https:// sellercentral.amazon. com/amazonsell/business

Old seller central home page shows as this for us …

https:// sellercentral.amazon. com/home

Note: broke url with a space after // and before com

We see old here

https://sellercentral.amazon.com/home?ngs_do_not_redirect_flag=1

We see the new here

Amazon Sign-In

https: //sellercentral.amazon.com/amazonsell/business?ref=homepage_redirect_ngs

Remove the space after https:

For those following along … what we see is before being transitioned (and probably with beta links) and what @Image sees is after being transitioned to the new seller central.

Comparing the links will enable you to know whether or not you have been transitioned to the new seller central.

I see @bookwormapril already posted the Settings - Seller Central link that I found. Yes if you leave that page for another, manage orders for instance, and then return to the SC page you get the new one again.

Thanks for this. It will be interesting to see how long it will work.

It will depend on which version of the old seller central you have …

… as seen above … some of us have a toggle on the old seller central which allows us to toggle between the two versions …

and the blue button on the new seller central also works to toggle you back to the old seller central or you can click the link Seller Central under the Account & Notifications.

We have been watching these changes for about a year and have seen this new seller central evolve (think Amazon gave us early beta access). If you are able to toggle back and forth, we suggest spending a little time getting to know the new one as it seems Amazon is getting closer to adopting it into mainstream. We took a section at a time to get to know it and started with the order section to make sure we could process the orders on it.

I think that Amazon is suffering from criticality inflation. Or, in the vernacular: lots of their bots are crying ‘wolf!’.
Somebody with just enough authority to do really damaging things told numerous department heads that they could unilaterally trigger the ‘critical’ warning message. Not surprisingly, those department heads did so.

Lots of them did it. Now, we get messages about a ‘critical’ event when some seller support rep takes a bathroom break.
Sellers like us are slowly learning that not all allegedly critical evens are really critical. Only some are.

i had a critical event just yesterday - more than just the critical orders or the critical bathroom breaks. Amazon breathlessly informed me that the world was going to end if I did not verify all of the INFORM ACT. ( It was in all caps, I recall )
So I clicked through several pages confirming that I had not moved, that I had not changed my name, I had not changed my gender, and several other pieces of data about me.

I think that I saved the world. Or so Amazon will have me believe.

Pardon me, I gotta go save the world again. Some more orders have come in.

It looks like Amazon finally realized the recklessness of putting the fate of the world in my hands. What if I had to drop everything to go get more cat food?

Orders on my home page are no longer critical.

Ours neither …

Thank you for buying enough cat food to cover all of our Amazon critical shipments.
Appreciated

Nothing like rolling beta software to production without testing

We ARE the test.

To Amazon, we are little more than lab rats.
