Now you won’t even know when that’s the problem since they will never have to mention the word “saddle” or well.. any other words.
Percentages of buyers who leave FB on Ebay have been dropping. Even those who do leave FB are not leaving DSRs (which also are not used for US sellers). This usually comes with a lack of interest in reading FB.
When buyers do any due diligence on their online purchases is arguable - No matter which marketplace they are on. Hence the growth in importance of “influencers” to the sales of many products.
My question:
Has anyone received a Stars only FB or one that is obviously incorrect(for wrong merchandise)? The couple we’ve received this month are still adding text-thank goodness..
No…and I’ve checked on purchases I’ve made since August 4 by trying to leave feedback with no writing and it requires me to write something still.
I was told by our SAS manager (take that with a grain of salt) that Amazon is backtracking on this change AGAIN. Also Amazon is supposedly (Again, according to SAS manager) also not going to remove the product review dashboard for brand registered sellers, in favor of the VOC dashboard, which currently is not displaying reviews. Would be nice if they removed the note on that dashboard that the functionality was going away on 9-30.
Remains to be seen…. I would trust what I was told if this person didn’t have the IQ of a carpenter ant.
Interesting…..good info!
In most cases, I find the VOC dashboard useless. What does this tell me? One FBA (out of season, seasonal item) was purchased and returned. No idea why but it’s earned a red Very Poor rating due to high percentage - 1 of 1.
Another of my items gets returns because buyers don’t read the size info before ordering and choose defective/doesn’t work because it doesn’t fit.
I just tried this myself. It requires some text from me too.
Has anyone else gotten this email? I still haven’t.
Maybe they are only rolling this out for specific categories?
Which email?
The one @ASV_Vites quoted in the OP.
I also got the email back on July 29th.
It’s also in Seller News - Update to seller feedback experience: Introducing star-only rating.
The fact we still can’t leave feedback without text and haven’t gotten any like that tells me that I believe ASV Vite’s Amazon contact who said they are no longer doing this.
I also got it on July 29th
Here’s what I got back today from SAS manager on the brand registry customer review workflow:
Hi Steve,
As for customer review page:
Officially: Thanks for following up. Feel free to share with Sellers as of today. We have removed the deprecation banner and are working with legal to approve our new banner that states the product will be staying around.
So I tend to believe that what she said about the star rating only for feedback is true as well.
With that said, It’s lunacy that they rolled this out once, pulled back - then rolled it out again a year later, only to never actually implement it.
It’s almost like they don’t know what the !$%& they are doing.
Say it ain’t so!! I would find that very hard to believe
My feedback count has gone from 2752 to 2749 in the past few days, with no logical explanation. Seeing how I now receive about 3-5 feedback a year at this point and it took me years to pass 2k, I really don’t care at this point, but I know only one bad feedback could now tank my score and very much affect my sales.
Every 6 months or so, I search my brand on Amazon to see all my product ratings. If a product is rated 1 or 2 stars, it needs to be deleted because no one will buy it anyhow.
Unfortunately, the star filter doesn’t work now. It only filters for 4 stars and above.
I do the same thing (about every 6 months) and also have to do it manually, but I also check to make information is correct because Amazon is notorious for changing the features to incorrect and conflicting information than the listing.
