UPS and FEDEX closed due to weather. I have next day order.

I normally go and drop the packages myself but due to snow storm, all UPS and Fedex are closed.
I have one Next day and two 2nd day orders.
Any advise? Do I call Amazon Support? Contact customer and hope they cancel from their end?

Advise the buyers that their shipments will be late due to weather. Offer to cancel if they wish,

Beyond that, hope Amazon will have decided not to punish sellers for the wrath of Mother Nature.

Don’t waste time with a phone call.

  • You can only call - Buyer Support who can’t help you
  • You can only get a call back from - Account Health who won’t/can’t help you

Follow @lake’s advice and then say a prayer to the Amazon gods.

@lake @oneida_books Thanks for your advice guys.
I messaged the buyers but of course, no reply.
Since these were premium shipping, I couldn’t cancel them or else, I’ll lose the eligibility. Premium shipping allowed rate is 0.5% and cancelling just one will go over and lose eligibility.
I actually called seller support so I have a record of calling for this issue in case I run into problems later on. So they escalated and the escalation support told me to try calling the phone number on the order. He told me it is allowed since this is a rare case and only way to reach the customer to explain the situation is by phone. Well, none of them answered. (I was able to get the buyers real phone number from the auto-voicemail. thought about texting them, but nah…)
The escalation support told me to process a refund and message the buyers.
I did that and now I’m hoping that the buyers actually see what is going on.
The worse that’ll happen is I guess I’ll either get a negative review or feedback… or both.
I disabled the premium shipping until this storm is over and UPS/FEDEX is back open.
Praying to Amazon gods, hoping I don’t get bad reviews/feedbacks.

I’m in Frisco, TX.
UPS still closed today (Friday 1/10).
Fedex is open but was told the packages will not leave the facility until Monday.
I went to the post office today and the roads were actually drivable… so not sure why UPS and FEDEX decided to not pickup for their locations.
Oh well, can’t do anything about mother nature. Just gotta suck it up.
