I just had one today where GA was over $18 and UPS GS was about $17.50. I shipped GA since I didn’t have any UPS today.
So you’re talking about packages weighing over 1 pound? I was thinking in terms of those that are under, in which case GA is always cheaper.
I think I was swayed by the fact that almost everything I ship is under a pound. So when the PirateShip announcement said that Ground Saver was for ‘lightweight’ packages, I assumed (whoops) they meant < 1 lb, not the 1 - 5 lb range that would have previously competed with Parcel Select.
