We’re introducing a new, stronger way to secure your Veeqo account: [Two-Step Verification] using an authenticator app.
Online fraud and account takeovers are rising across ecommerce. With an authenticator app, even someone who has your password still can’t get into your account – protecting your orders, shipping, and customer data.
What’s changing:
Now: Confirm your email address and set up an authenticator app – like Google Authenticator or Authy. Both steps can be completed by going to Settings → Users in your Veeqo account.
From July 22, 2026**:** Email Confirmation and Two-Step Verification become mandatory for account owners — not yet for other users on your account. To sign in, you’ll enter a 6-digit code from your authenticator app alongside your password.
Setting up early means one less thing to think about later — we’ll send a reminder closer to the date.
In the coming months, Two-Step Verification will extend to everyone on your account, and we’ll be in touch before anything changes for your team.
For now, you can’t set up or manage Two-Step Verification for other users on your account. If your team relies on this, we’re building a way to manage it for everyone and will let you know as soon as it’s ready.

Something happened with 2FA for Amazon and now I don’t seem to need it anymore. I haven’t had to do 2FA when I click to log in through Amazon. So, 2FA seemed to have disappeared for me.
You can have a standalone application generate those codes on a timer, no texting required. However, that makes the device the app is ON very important, and you have to remember to move that application registration when you update your device.
Some authenticator apps are friendly and multi-purpose (Google’s will allow you to add other authenticator setups), others are for a particular purpose (Microsoft’s for example).
Well, I spoke too soon. Tried logging on to Veeqo today, and it insists on an authenticator app. I let Nisha handle it, she kept getting rejected.
So we’ll try to figure it out tomorrow.
Download Google Authenticator app on a smart phone (some tablets will also work). The process using an authenticator app is 100% better than 2FA via text. We run PayPal, Amazon, SAS, and one more from the same app. Wish we had figured it out sooner than we did and wish several sites using only 2FA texts would transition to an authenticator app.
Well, that checks out well with the notification I got on my phone that there were timing issues with several servers (it mentioned gaming, but possibly related).
We’ll just try tomorrow and see if it works. If not, it’s not the end of the world; just means that we can’t get BPM for the book sold on Ebay.
Update; Nisha got it to work (using a different app than the Google one).
Now to find out if it acts like Amazon on the shipping computer (code required every time) or like Amazon on my laptop (code required about every 2-3 weeks).
