Walmart: Introducing the new Negative Feedback Rate standard

Hello,

Customer reviews are essential for building trust, driving traffic, and converting sales. To help support your growth and continue improving our platform, we’re introducing Negative Feedback Rate, a new standard that makes it easier to understand and address unfavorable reviews.

Negative Feedback Rate is the first Seller Performance Standard for Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS). As always, your other performance standards will be safeguarded when you ship with WFS.

What is Negative Feedback Rate?

Negative Feedback Rate reflects the percentage of your Marketplace orders that have received a one- or two-star rating within the last 60 days.

Does Negative Feedback Rate consider my WFS orders?

For WFS orders, negative reviews will only be counted for issues you’re responsible for—like item quality or missing components—to ensure a fair and accurate assessment. This means you won’t be penalized for problems related to delivery or fulfillment.

What is the required standard for Negative Feedback Rate?

You will be required to maintain a Negative Feedback Rate of 2% or less. If your Negative Feedback Rate exceeds 2%, we’ll provide guidance on how to address the problem and give advance notice before taking any account status actions.

Where can I view my Negative Feedback Rate?

You will be able to see Negative Feedback Rate soon on your Performance dashboard, through the Performance API, and on the Walmart Seller app. For now, you can monitor feedback on the Ratings and Reviews page in Seller Center.

When does the Negative Feedback Rate standard go into effect?

Negative Feedback Rate will become an official Seller Performance Standard in spring 2026. To make sure you have enough time to prepare, we’ll share a clear transition timeline and helpful resources for improving performance in advance of the change.

Be sure to check out Marketplace Learn for more information about how Negative Feedback Rate works. If you have any questions, you can always reach out to Support by clicking the question mark button in Seller Center and selecting Contact support.
