Was thinking it might be nice to have a thread where we all could share weather events that are affecting each of our regions. We have had one of those spring weeks of fun thunderstorms. Fortunately, we have had no tornadoes but we have had some serious straight line winds. This past Tuesday night’…

Learned today that gasoline boils between 90 and 100F. Yeah I have a few gas cans behind the barn that were very very swollen!!

I learned yesterday that ConEd sucks. We are having all sorts of issues here with our power for the last 24 hours. They won’t even register our outage reports on their stupid outage map… I’ve lived here for 20 years, no real problems before and this isn’t the first “heat dome” - whatever the hell…

This was at 2:00 PM yesterday at about 1,200’ elevation in western Virginia. It did go to 106 briefly just after i snapped the picture. And, no, it’s not a dry heat. [738416587_10227952786405544_1016631666311915820_n]

[image] SellerFeller: And, no, it’s not a dry heat. And while there are a lot of jokes about that, it makes a HUGE difference. I moved to NJ from Arizona. When I came for my job interview, it was 97. I thought I was going to die! (thankfully missed my plane, which pushed out 5 minutes before…

Or at least check out the local festivities at the county park down the road (concerts and…

That would have been awesome to watch the tall ships coming in. It’s certainly something you don’t see every day. I’ve been on two tall ships myself although they weren’t moving - the USS Constitution in Boston and the HMS Victory (Admiral Nelson’s ship) in Portsmouth, England. Both tours were fa…

For the past 5-6 days we have had temperatures in the 90’s with high humidity here in NE Kansas. Overnight the temps fell only to the low 80’s. I’ve been staying mostly inside. Tonight, the temps have broken! A light gentle rain has entered our area and temperatures have plummeted to 68 degrees. …

Holy Mother Of Pearl… Just drove back from the catskills mountain region (MIL’s Summer House). We got our power back in Queens on Friday after almost 3 days of bull ■■■■ from ConEd - so was able to go. 100 miles of non-stop torrential rain in my low to the ground Suby STi. I’ve been driving leg…
