We had a tornado warning and my Grandson decided to come down into the basement for some reason. It wasn’t even that dark out by us. My daughter (the attorney) was at the courthouse in Fond du Lac and texted her mother that the JUDGES had gone to the tornado shelter in the basement. She didn’t say where she was but I figure the attorneys were left upstairs as a sacrifice to Mother Nature.
I get all of these notices from, “Notify NYC,” telling me to leave a basement apartment, if I happen to live in one, and clear local catch basins ahead of storms.
Neither situation applies, and I no longer ride the subway.
We got about 5 drops of rain here in NE Queens last time there was gonna be a deluge last week.

If you are anywhere near Menasha it may be longer. WE Energies actually has one of the best repair reputations in the entire country. They send elite crews to help in disasters all the time so there has to be significant damages near you.
We were out a couple months ago for cable and internet for over 30 hours due to damage to Spectrum lines. THAT messed up my shipping numbers badly for Amazon!
Power came back on quickly but there were 6 or 8 repair trucks less than 2 miles from me working on one massive repair job where multiple lines merged.
Not really weather related unless you include the sunshine, but moments ago I saw the future trajectory of a commercial airplane. Looking behind and above me was a distinct jet stream with the jet being straight up. Then the sun shone at the exact angle that created a dark shadow line from the jet stream back down to the horizon. So white double jet stream, plane, and then dark shadow line on the trajectory of the plane. Only lasted maybe 15 seconds so not enough time to take a pic.
