I had a FBA order yesterday that showed up on “Manage Orders” under “All Orders” list. But while it was still "Pending - awaiting payment verification, it was not listed under "Pending orders, and also not on Seller Central’s “Open Orders” section. I just assume some kind of delay in Amazon system, and didn’t think too much about it.
Today this order is showing as Payment complete, but the order detail page looks weid:
Ok, I wouldn’t have really cared about the unusal weidness. But usually, for FBA order, once it’s in “Payment complete” status, the order would be listed in the Payment transactions list. But this order didn’t show up in Payment.
I checked “Inventory Ledget” in FBA fulfilment report, and there isn’t a “Shipment” entry for this order yet, so I assume it hasn’t been shipped yet and that might be why it’s not showing up in Payment.
But what could be the reason for the delay in shipping the order? There are enough inventory in FBA and it didn’t look like Amazon was transfering inventory to fill the order.
Why the order doesn’t have the ship by and deliver by dates? Did anybody experience this kind of situation? I just don’t know what to expect with this order.
May I ask if the ASIN in question is something that might appeal to folks wanting to add an item to their Buyer Account’s Gift Registry?
There are other possibilities (Buyer Account Privacy settings of various flavors, etc.), but in our experience ‘The shipping address is confidential’ indications typically lead back to that functionality having been used by the purchaser.
Yes, the SOP for FBA Orders is that payment isn’t released until the item is shipped.
As I alluded upthread, there exist other possibilities being the root cause of the delay, because there’s a good deal of flexibility offered to Buyer Accounts in terms of when & how shipment is triggered - but given the nature of your Offer-Listings, it wouldn’t surprise me to learn that someone’s Gift Registry was in play.
