Just received a disbursement email from Amazon that is very odd. It looks exactly like the real deal, except it has this:
Congratulations Invoicing_1367520_ABMDF5IE1RG39!
It usually just says Congratulations booknut7. I am not due a payment, just had one three days ago. Even if I wanted to request a payout, the amount is more than I would be able to. The email address (donotreply) is the same. There is a link in both for “our official course” to learn more. Maybe that link has been hijacked?
Hover over the link, right click, copy link, and paste here.

All look clean, so I assume it was just an incorrectly fired out email. Has been known to happen on more then one occasion!
WHAT?! Didn’t you read in the forum there that Amazon does not make mistakes??

Is it still a thing that if you click “reply” sometimes a different email comes up?
Yes - that will never change as long as folks spoof email addresses.
So I did that, and the email address is the Amazon one. So it looks like Amazon DID make a mistake.
I’m off to feed my unicorn now.
I see this happened to me in Aug. of 2024. History is repeating itself, I received another of these emails today. Thanks to SAS I can see it was nothing to worry about.
