I appreciate this forum and this community and I jumped at the opportunity to give something back.
My username was the (forum before the) OSFE name that my boss used when creating the account before I was hired. I kept it when we created SAS to reduce confusion, but now that I am representing not just my company but on occasion this forum as well, a different name seemed appropriate.
Honestly, the member of this forum do the heavy lifting anyway. The mods are mostly just here to keep this place from turning into a game of Calvinball…
I’ve long wondered how your previous Forum Handle was chosen - as a mariner, I fancied that it might have had something to do with ‘tacking along the main course’ when Sailing The River, as you’ve so-demonstrably proved quite adept in doing ever since you came on board - so I’m appreciative of you filling in the speculative blanks in your well-storied résumé.
To my way of thinking, it’s likely that there’s more than a singular reason why the SAS Staff probably decided that you (and our friend Marbles) would, when all is said and done, inevitably wind up with exemplary scores for your participation from the members of the SAS.
