BTW, does anyone know a streaming radio station (preferably college) that has a Blues show on Friday nights? I have every other night covered, but canā€™t find any good blues on Fridays.

Saturday Night I saw Bill Kirchen (again).

Got to see my contemporaries while I can and they are still active. Sold out performance, mostly grey heads.

Iā€™m listening to The ā€œThose Lowdown Bluesā€ Show on KJZZ (Phoenix, AZ). Last show before Halloween. Amazing just how many Halloween themed blues songs there are! I maybe could have named 3-4; heā€™s been going solid for an hour+!

Time to introduce her to Bella Fleck and the Flecktones.

Its in the Jazz category. I saw them play at the Playboy Jazz festival back in 1991. Never saw a banjo at a jazz concert like that before.

Also a good band if you want to hear multi-rythmic stuff. Thereā€™s one song where banjo is playing 4/13, backing instruments playing 4/17. Very creative (and weird) stuff.

Also for banjo, you can check out Steve Martin; heā€™s a genuine top level player (more traditional than Bela)
