What a steaming pile of BS… Amazon charges more supposedly to not expose themselves as the shipper when a seller uses MCF AND PAYS A PREMIUM. What a joke…
Yes, this is an option you can select or deselect. I used it for 2 reasons, neither of which was related to hiding Amazons involvement.
First, a large portion of my MCF orders that were supposed to be delivered by Amazons delivery service came back as undeliverable. There may have been a reason for this here and there but it was rampant. Orders returned undeliverable with no explanation why. I had orders that were split into multiple shipments going to the same customer. First package was undeliverable, second package the very next day was delivered with no issues. Again, it might happen once in a while but it happened regularly.
Second, there is no tracking available for customers. At least there wasn’t before. I believe Amazon might have created something to solve this issue but I had customers from other platforms that wanted tracking info and nothing was available from MCF with Amazon delivery.
Long story short, Amazon delivery service had a complete and total lack of accountability. I was glad to pay more to avoid issues with Amazon delivery services. I no longer do MCF as it caused me too many problems, but I did use the non-amazon delivery option when I was using it.
Anyone who’s ordered enough stuff from Amazon can figure out that Amazon shipped it, whether or not there’s Prime branded packaging/tape or not.
95% of people probably don’t care who you’re using to fulfill your orders. Personally I would view a supplement brand who uses FBA MCF negatively purely because I’m a seller and know that Amazon is dodging FDA requirements for their FCs and don’t want things that I personally use coming from FBA. (Granted, I have taken stuff that came from FBA, but I prefer to have it shipped directly from the manufacturer or a reputable store). Very few people know or care about this kind of thing though.
This sounds like storytime to me.
