Thanks for the idea. I just clicked Tracking Package and received this screen:
No tracking info. I guess this is another bug in Amazon system (delivered package shows as On the way).
Check the UPS site with the tracking number provided.
There is no tracking number. All info is as shown in the screenshot.
The package has arrived a few days ago. I’m waiting for the shipping status to change to “Delivered” before filing a complaint. Normally when the item arrives, the shipping status changes to “Delivered” right away. This is strange that it still shows “On the way”.
How can the system update when it doesn’t have a tracking number to look up? You can’t even look up the number in UPS (hint: unless you have the package it was delivered in with the shipping label on it showing the tracking number).
Not sure how this person gamed the system to show it shipped without entering a shipping number but that appears to be the case. It also seems to be a way to keep you from using the test buy to report them as they may have figured out what was about to happen since they …
Thanks for the hint. I didn’t even thinking about looking at the shipping box (dumb me) and was focusing on only the screen. Ok I checked the shipping box. It’s an Amazon box which means it’s FBA (see the pic below).
Hmm… I think that’s possible. The store name sounds very Russian. I think maybe they know many black hat tricks like the Chinese. Did I watch too much Hollywood movies? ![]()
And that has an Amazon delivery tracking number on it. Did you get the email that is sent out with the picture showing it was delivered by Amazon? If so, there is your proof when you are talking with Amazon that the item has been delivered (hopefully you didn’t delete that one).
Thanks for another thought. No, I only received an email from Amazon that the item was shipped. Well, if the status doesn’t change before the return deadline is up, I would give up and just get a refund.
If it doesn’t show as delivered, then we guess an INR claim is an option.
The win for now is that this buyer has withdrew their offer which was your main goal.
You’re right. At least he withdrew. What’s INR?
Filing a claim with Amazon for Item Not Received … (aka .. INR)
Thank you
@HumbleWarrior I know that you have received your order and that the hijacker has (temporarily) disappeared, but I did want to consolidate these #testbuy tips here:
And when you take those pictures, include a photo with the shipping labels, addresses, and tracking all visible, as you did here.
By the way…what did you receive? Was it your product?
Of course not. It was a distant 5th cousin albeit with some sort of ■■■■■■ involved. It was similar but had many things missing.
I reported it from BR but learned that receiving the order is paramount to a test buy violation.
I also reported it from the retail side but am wary to explain that on a public forum for fear of misuse.
No it was not my product. It was a copycat that is slightly smaller and no brand. He tried to sell at at 2X of my price.
Well, Sandy, we know how to report.
Our actual question is once reported, why won’t Amazon take any prompt, meaningful action? ![]()
