NOT the first time we’ve seen Amazon spin things to its own socially-deficient & entirely-mendacious PR spiel(s), to be sure (the exact same phrase quoted below has been used more than a few times over the last decade or so - citational references available upon request) - but each and every time an Amazonian makes clear that they’ve been borged into the collective, rather than treading the path pioneered by mods like Lauren & Susan (each of whom, by all available lights, finally found themselves boxed into this or that corner by TPTB imperatives, & subsequently sought greener/less-unpalatable pastures), I’d submit that we are ALL diminished (emphasis mine) by bald-faced lies from our “Selling Parther”:
Sadder still? Judging from the available evidence, these folks all too-often truly believe in the veracity of the falsehoods spewed forth by the machine…
Just to keep the record straight, Lauren did not leave Amazon because of any Amazon behavior. She left Amazon when her husband, who was in the military returned to the States and living with him was more important to her than her Amazon job.
She was a great loss, but how a Massachusetts girl survived in the culture of the Pacific Northwest is a mystery to me, and I feel we were blessed she was at Amazon as long as she was.
Relative to the ODTR, as a buyer, my orders reflect an OTDR which is within the requirement.
Now if I wanted to find an example of failing to meet the OTDR, Amazon Haul is the place to look.
Ha-Ha, Ho-Ho, choke, sputter! Do these folks-if they are warm-blooded, breathing humans and aren’t AI enhanced, really believe what they spout???
Did Susan retire? Fired for admitting to reality? She was on the River a long time. Is there a MOD on the NSFE who can be relied upon to tell some of the truth, now?
KJ, Sandy, Glenn, Michelle, Manny, Indy, Danny, Topher, Xander, & Josh, along with several others, are among the members of the FMT-CMT who have, demonstrably, helped multiple sellers in various concerns - but they are all constrained to toe Amazon’s line, as Josh just did about a ½-hour ago:
And that reality probably plays some role in why so many mentions of the SAS Forum continue to crop up over in the NSFE, such as this one just posted by one of the seasoned and savvy vets (who’s been Selling on Amazon @ least since the Seller Soapbox days):
I did find a way around that when I wanted to ask something that I did not want posted.
I asked one of the more useful MODS to set up a case and contact me, which they did. I then was able to go back and forth with them off the Forum for some time.
Nope, I knew exactly why the first time when I saw they removed the comment that said that (direct quote) “Amazon can BLEEP OFF” about taking more control.
The interesting/amusing part about the private discussion in the case was that I was looking for clarification on some issues as to what EXACTLY they meant or were doing.
It seems the MODS refuse to be any more candid in the cases than they do on the public side. It seems that CYA is the prevalent attitude for all their employees.
