They must be hard at work adding features for sellers. As a follow up to adding 12 featured items to your page 1, sellers can finally have left side “collections” on their store pages.

This will be so helpful to customers browsing, and it just looks more professional, too. +1 to MP!
Yes, this is a welcome improvement and will help buyers find what they’re looking for more easily.
I suspect that our friend @Dave’s perusal of the SAS Forum’s feedback from Handmade Artisans like you may well be paying dividends.
Thanks for posting this info. MP hasn’t sent me any notice about it, so I has no idea we can do it now.
Just tried it and it’s really not that hard to get things into “collections”. Just finished a couple of them, and will get back to it for the rest of the items.
Finally got all the items into their own “collections”. Since I have some very different kinds of products, having links to the “collection” definitely will make it easier for the shopper who is only interested in a particular type of product.
I’ll have to say this improvement is well designed, as far as the ease of making changes after you have already added item to a “collection” and want to change it to another, or rearrange the sequence of the list of collections, or change the name of the collections
I certainly have made many changes to get to how I want the “Collections” to be finally. Because of the changes and how mixed up things were before, I forgot which collection I places certain items or whether I already added them to a collection. So here is a tip, if you not sure where you have added one item, but don’t want to look for it, you can just add it again to which ever collection you do want it to be. If it’s already in the correct collection, it’ll just stay put, otherwise, the system moves it from where ever it was to the one you want.
Played around with it a bit today. Will have to spend more time tomorrow to finish it. I’m so glad it can be done via inventory page. I was afraid I was going to have to edit listings.
I hope it leads to more sales for me. I have about 500 items in my shop. I have not had a sale since September.
All in all I’m happy with this new “collections” feature, the only complain is we are not able to see what’s in each “collection” from the back end/Dashboard.
The “Manage Collection” button, only shows us how many items are in each collection, but there is no way to see what is in each collection, unless we go to our live store on the public side.
Well, nothing is perfect. This is still better than not having the collection feature.
I agree. I also found that there is a limited character you can use in the collection names. Using Christmas takes up a lot of space! Baby steps, I guess.
I’m not sure if this is new or not, but when viewing products on your dashboard, you can filter for collections to see all the listings in a particular collection.
Thank for that info, and the important part in that sentance is “Filter”. I didn’t fully understand you mean literally to use “Filter” function, so I was looking everywhere on the dashbord and couldn’t find what you said until I finally clicked “Filter” just for the hack of it.
So for anybody who might be in the same boat as I was, here is what to do:
on My Product Lising page, click “Filter” button:
and a panal showed up on the right side of the screem where we can choose which collcetio, etc to display, then click “apply”.
