First let me preface, that I THINK this is NEW.
And for me potentially disastrous. For you maybe not so?
For I generously use variation values that are (were) permitted.
This is coming to a CRASHING END. Amazon this year from April to Dec 25 as Amazon will be deprecating (from my category at least) 63 Variations VALUES. Some of which I currently use.
They are allowing only 9 of which I have issues using.
Why? Because the variations allowed are NOT MODIFIABLE.
Example I once put oz, another time ounce, another ounces when adding items over the years. Can not change, so the variation if re-made, will be bizerko.
Anyway, that is me.
For you. You must check the new download for your category, If you created your product in past years, as the variation VALUE you chose may be deprecated and then one day? Poof? I do not know.
While I don’t necessarily object to the streamlining in principle, that is some pretty harsh culling.
@Chimanimani the new variation themes would actually work better because in my category, I had to use material for color because color variation wasn’t available (which is hilariously stupid) - it’s on some listings and not on others and I could never get a straight answer from Seller Unsupport.
In your case, are you saying the new variation themes won’t work? You could use Style for Unit and if the same across all variations - customers would understand
We are talking about the same thing yes?
Just clarifying.
Agreed - those new variation themes don’t even begin to encompass everything out there. My guess is, it is category dependent too no? Or did I miss something?
Also can more than one variation theme be applied? Because color and count could both apply.
