So we use message templates all the time.
TODAY (Can someone verify it’s not just me) they changed the way you select one.
Before I clicked the template box & I can type in a few letters like “lost” and if would filter my templates so I can find the right one.
Now, I click this little notepad icon & I can’t type anything. I need to scroll though them all to find the one I need. This is just another thing to slow us down or an I doing something wrong?
It’s not just you. If you use many templates, the inability to search for the one you want is definitely annoying.
I have 30 templates and the don’t even show in alphabetical order.
& We got between 5 & 10 messages a day.
I would have to delete every one & re-enter them in alphabetical order.

With no reason to believe Amazon wouldn’t ruin that for you just as soon as is occurs to some mischief maker proving their worth.
Amazon has lost/removed my templates once before, so now I keep most of my templates as pinned messages on my windows clipboard, as well as saved in a templates folder on my desktop. I don’t have as many templates as you do, though.
It’s an extra step (needlessly imposed, in my book) but may I ask if the Search functionality is still working for you on the Manage Templates Dashboard itself, @ https: //sellercentral.amazon.com/messaging/templates ?
Yes, the functionality still exists in where you create/edit templates.
But that now entails.
Mouse-over “Message Settings”
Click Manage-Case Templates
Type in the search box to find the template.
Click Preview, Copy , Close & Back arrow the browser to return to the messages
& paste the template.
However with this method, the “Placeholder” fields do not populate which is a deal breaker.
