I believe so, though I don’t remember how to check. But I have never used it. Amazon is a side business for me that started during the pandemic. I work full time and typically package up orders around 10-11pm after the kids go to bed, so I was never able to ship things out during the day most days and didn’t need the additional hassle.

Seems I am still eligible:
Chiming in late (which seems to the the norm for me lately)… That automated button gave me problems a while ago and it was this forum that pointed it out and I turned it off.
I actually have spreadsheet pre-prepared to be “normal handling time” (some are 1 and some are 4), 4 day handling time, and 7 day handling time. Trying to “never” put my shop on vacation mode as a result. Like next weekend I’m leaving town Saturday, Sunday, returning Monday morning. I don’t want to ship Monday, so on Friday morning, I’ll set it to 4 days. Saturday morning, I’ll have “time” to doublecheck if anything did happen to show up. Monday morning I will upload “normal” and Tuesday ship. When I was truly gone for a long time is when I used vacation.
@Tvoi – this one.
@Amasucker have you seen @SoldBySelf updated solution for this? Maybe something for you to check. Do you have third-party apps?
This is not my issue, but thank you for following up.
I still want to know how a Sunday order + 4 day handling time is Thursday. This means Sunday + 1 is Monday, which is the same as +0 (for businesses closed on Sunday). 0 <> 1 .
What are you days of operation set to?
We have ours set as closed Saturday Sunday.
We have a 2 day handle time.
Friday orders have ship days of Monday (1) and Tuesday (2).
Saturday orders also have ship days of Monday (1) and Tuesday (2).
Sunday orders also have ship days of Monday (1) and Tuesday (2).
Monday orders will have ship days of Tuesday (1) and Wednesday (2).
Tuesday orders will have ship days of Wednesday (1) and Thursday (2).
Wednesday orders will have ship days of Thursday (1) and Friday (2).
Thursday orders will have ship days of Friday (1) and Monday (2).
The only way for us to ship on Saturday is to do the order late Friday and do a mailbox drop late Friday night as the post office isn’t open on Saturday but will pick up the mailbox drops and put mail in the po boxes.
Note … holidays will extend the ship day also.
Monday Holiday … Prior Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday (holiday) orders will have ship days of Tuesday (1) and Wednesday (2).
Our handling times and weekends off setting are set correctly, but we still have orders that come in that are saying that it has to ship the same day.
As a side note, our cut off time is entered as 1 pm.
Our ship days are M-F.
Are you saying you’re in agreement with these dates that Amazon is requiring? If a Sunday order ships Monday, regardless of when it’s ordered, that’s not 2 day handling time. I would argue even Tuesday isn’t 2 day handling time for a Sunday order. Saying Fri, Sat, Sun all have the same due dates doesn’t make it seem like you have the weekends “off.”
Previously, our weekend orders were treated like they were placed 12:01am on Monday, which makes sense to me: days in which we aren’t operating should not impact handling time. When they started messing with default handling time (and other handling time algos), that went out the window. No one else seems to notice (or admit, if you’re an Amazon employee) this change.
Just for clarity, I’d like to point out that there are two classes of problems here:
- default handling time changed, and some people got screwed by that (I’m guessing this is your issue)
- other handling time changes happened shortly after that which don’t/shouldn’t relate to default handling time (e.g. some extended handling times got stepped on, non-ship-day-orders due one day earlier than previously)
We are saying what our settings are and what the resulting ship by days are with those settings on Amazon. It doesn’t mean we are in agreement with Amazon but rather what settings we have to use to be able to function within all of the parameters that Amazon has when it comes to fulfillment by merchant orders. We do custom orders … so same day is out of the question. Most orders go out in one day but we have a few orders that need 2 days. Only on Amazon is this something we have to think about and monitor. Our own site functions like clock work and the customers get the orders without issues. The orders we get on Amazon we process just like we would if they came from our site. For us, the parameter settings on Amazon is only to keep Amazon happy with the metrics that are fed by those settings and Amazon creates.
