I have been asked to show up for a video interview for authentication for 2 Asins
Now i have been selling these ASINS for years with no issues
Recently a competitor has started selling on these and now i get this request, i suspect he might have lied to Amazon about my items being counterfeits
For context i buy these items from an authorized distribuidor
Anyone has went thru this interview? What tips do you have?
I can provide most docs they asked for but just want to be ready for anything
A valid government-issued photo identity document. The document must include the following information: Full name, date of birth, ID number, expiry date, signature of the bearer (if applicable), country where it was issued or country of citizenship.
– Bank or credit card statement. The document must include the following information: The full name of the individual or the business, residential, or business address. It must also include the information of the bank that issued the statement and the records related to the purchase of the ASIN under review.
– Registered businesses must upload their registration document. The document must state the name of the business owner or legal representative, business-operating name, business license number or registration number, official seal or stamp of the authority that issued the document, business address, date of incorporation, status of the business and signature of the legal representative (electronic signature is acceptable).
– Supply chain documents such as invoices and receipts that include the item’s description, quantities, supplier’s name, supplier phone number, supplier address, and website. You may remove pricing information, but the rest of the document must be visible.
– Proof of delivery, bill of lading, import and export documents, customs clearance documents and authorization letters from brands and licensed brand distributors are other examples of documents that may be requested.
– Order confirmation, order shipping, or fulfillment update documents for all the orders placed for the ASIN in question and its quantities.
From this i only dont have a loa
I am confused on the proof of delivery since this is from s distribuidor they just drop off the items
I am also confused on the order confirmation part, dont they have all of this in their system? They want me to print all like tracking that i used to send these item?
Signed invoice? I can ask for customs clearance but not sure if distribuidor would be able to provide
i did the interview but they couldnt verify that my distribuidor was an authorized one, the bradn and( my distribuidor basically did not help me until now)
Now they are asking for something that shows that my distribuidor is authorized which i finally got: an invoice brand selling to my distribuidor
and now the brand is giving me an LOA, now on the date what date should it be on the LOA? i mean the date that i sold these have been for the last 5 years but the letter is only now? should it say that the terms have been from 5 years ago until a certain date?
The date on the letter should be today, but I don’t think it would hurt to include a “date of authorization initiation” or simply “date of authorization” that has the origin date.
The letter should explicitly state that the authorization is current as of [DATE] and ongoing, and that [SELLER ACCOUNT] (your store) is in good standing with the [BRAND].
I did all this and now they are asking for my email comunication with my supplier about the invoices and my suppliers email communications with the brand owner about the invoices i provided
Wow i never thought they would ask for this even after i was able to get a loa with their signature and stamp
How is this even legal? I can’t believe they asked for this. I also can’t believe that your distributor and the brand will even consent to these private communications being released to Amazon.
I have a really good relationship with them, but obviously they did not like the requests it’s their private communication plus i get to see what they paid for the item and resold it to me so.
unless i am reading this wrong but it says this:
nvoices and receipts. You may remove pricing information, but the rest of the document must be visible. For ease of our review, you may highlight or circle the ASINs under review. Documents must contain item descriptions & quantities
– email communication with the brand owner of {brand}regarding the purchase made by the supplier (my supplier).
– email communication with the supplier (my supplier). regarding the purchase made
– Bank or financial statement showing the proof of purchase of the ASINs under review.
i also don’t know if they are asking for my statements of these purchases or my suppliers’ bank statements, which would be insane to ask, but honestly, at this poin,t they can ask for anything
i am literally uploading full bank statements of my bank account and they still ask for stuff
idk what else i can provide to prove these are legitimate items i mean the letter of authorization should be clear as day
i am also not sure if this is because in the interview, I did not have these things, and right after a day or 2 I did, but the reason was because i called everyone, i told them i had 3 days to get this or my account would be gone
Is it possible Amazon is considering taking over selling this product as one of their own? It would appear Amazon is requesting information related to profit potential and not the seller’s authorized distribution chain.
Eh… Doubtful. The OP can redact the cost if they want to. I guess if Amazon had the email addy of the brand, that could be a way.
With that said, we all know that Amazon operates with AI and the sledgehammer approach. The OP is caught up in a nightmare that many of us have experienced in the past. Turtle on our backs at Amazon’s AI Bot’s mercy. I hope the OP is able to work this out because it certainly seems that they have what they need (legit invoices / LOA)
You don’t need to tell us what you sell, but it seems as though Amazon is approaching your sourcing as though you are selling DIY parts for nuclear bombs!
It is BS like this why we are considering having our distributor/manufacturer charge us their highest tier of pricing, and then give us a volume/advertising/marketing/etc. discount at the end of the month, so we can get our reimbursements covered at the actual rate, and no harm no foul if they push us for un-redacted invoices at some point.
btw there are others who literally buy this item repackage it under their brand and they have no problems.
i do think this was an competitor who bought and returned it with the description of counterfeit, i am suing him in an unrelated issue and he recently started selling this.
i am not sure if there is any way to report this to Amazon though
i know this could be him because he has said on the old forum that he does this to get chinese sellers taken down
