OK… All good… My partner and I have our own CC’s for the biz and both were already on the account. I just selected his card for all marketplaces and it accepted it and unlocked the account. That may have happened if I selected my card as well, not sure. Didn’t want to eff around.
My assumption (thinking like Amazon does), is that they added the marketplace because who knows why, moved over the charge method on their own - but because we didn’t actually do or approve that, they locked it until we did. Just an assumption.
Just the SAS manager for now - but either they will update the credit card flaw or ASV will have to get another card (and hope that it doesn’t fail as well).
Whatever you do, do not message seller support about this.
Your SAS manager should be able to escalate that this is a really stupid bug and that they should open a bug ticket on this idiotic roll out.
Last we sent out messages to Escalations, Mods, Seller Help on Thursday - so far Mods and Seller Help responded by contacting the Support Team handling this (presumably not escalations and directly to presumably Amazon Developer Help) - so expecting a response tomorrow or Tuesday to tell me how long its going to take them to flip the switch but don’t wanna hijack this thread for my issue.
I’m good. Got the account back up by selecting my partner’s card as the primary across the marketplaces. I just got off the phone with Chase. Zero issue with my card. It’s the same account…
This is too much of a coincidence with getting that email from .BR, and getting the marketplace added.
Will report this to SAS. Let’s see what they say.
The troubling thing about this is why does Amazon say there is something wrong with my card if it’s not brazil and what happens if the same thing happens to the other card?
I could add a personal card if I had to, doesn’t matter. Amazon only charged our CC once, when we signed up…
We are supposed to get paid tomorrow. I’m sure this BS is going to cause us to miss a disbursement. Nice effing timing Amazon.
